Ohio's Secretary of State is no peach, either.

Imagine if he were governor....

What is even happening?

msbelle, in addition to what AmyLiz mentioned, I know there's no after-care program at our school, but there is a Y bus to the aftercare program at another school in town.

very often they will pick up from neighborhood schools, and then you pick up your child from there

We have that at my son's school. It works out great for his best friend. They have homework time, then play time. His mom says it's worth the money for them.

He has been learning English since August, but I do not expect him to have a ton. The school is a full-integration school though and so English aid will be directly in the class with him.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Imagine if he were governor....

It's shit like this that makes me wake screaming at night.

you can look into the local YWCAs, because very often they will pick up from neighborhood schools, and then you pick up your child from there.

Or possibly city rec centers with programs.

He has been learning English since August, but I do not expect him to have a ton. The school is a full-integration school though and so English aid will be directly in the class with him.

Kids are so much more facile in learning languages than adults. I hope he has an easy transition.

Some more GOP shady dealings--the Maryland GOP has bused in homeless people from out of state and is using them to hand out sample ballots identifying the incumbent governor (and Repub) Steele and the Repub Senate candidate as Dems. God forbid that they be IDed as Republicans!
