Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Blah blah blah democracy blah blah citizens' responsibility blah....

Sorry. I'm just glad it's over. OK, over by this evening. Except for the recounts and lawsuits and protests and cursing Lieberman when he switches parties....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Isn't it really the "Rent Is Too Damn High" party? Even better.

My favorite part is how if the signatures don't match* they still don't ask for ID. They just ask you to see if you can sign it "to make it look like the one in the book."

Ha! Almost as great as when I was running around charging things to my (male) boss's credit card. With no problems ever.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Actually, there was one competitive race in our district, for State Senator. Which is why you're seeing all those signs to vote down the Working Family Party line: All the candidates are the same as the Democratic ticket, except for that one office.

And I did vote for the WFP candidate, because he's the one who is anti-Atlantic Yards.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Isn't it really the "Rent Is Too Damn High" party? Even better.

I think it is, but they don't print the swearing on the ballot.

I set my alarm last night intending to vote this morning because I got the okay to be late. Then morning happened. So I'm going to vote after work. I have my voter registration card, an out-of-state license (shut up, I'm lazy and it doesn't expire until 2008), a social security card, a major credit card, and several pieces of mail, so I'm hoping I'll be able to vote without having to return home for more "dude, I totally live here!" ammo.

Art Crawl!!!

I voted this morning and, as always, it was easy and no waiting. (Although I was told that there had been times this morning when there was a line.)

My current plan for today:

1) Work as little as possible.
2) Go vote.
3) Nappy times.
4) Make curried chicken salad.
5) Reap benefits of owning TiVo.

Coding and Sleeping

I voted, there was a line but only for the part of the alphabet I'm not in.

My vote for congress will go my way. My vote for senate will not go my way but will be close. Of the six issues I voted on, three will go my way but the three controversial ones will not. Almost everything else was unopposed.

Then morning happened. So I'm going to vote after work.

shrift is me. But I knew it was going to happen, so didn't bother with the whole early alarm and all that. Hoping the past is an indication and the real rush is in the morning.
