Now playing - Blue Öyster Cult - "Godzilla." To be followed with "Joan Crawford." Which has some amazingly goofy lyrics....

Oh, my, there's a guy in the YouTube comments to that video who obviously considers it his duty to defend Journey.
It is because of SONGS (not videos) like this one, that Journey is in the TOP 30 Artists for Album Sales worldwide...bigger than Bowie or Clapton or Dylan!
Tommy, is that you?
Will anything bad happen if I have another dose of cough syrup just two hours after the first? I'm not talking robo-tripping, I just have an event to go to tonight I don't want to cough through.
Was the cough syrup out on the open shelves, or did you have to get it behind the counter? With the new rules, the out-in-the-open stuff apparently doesn't do shit, so I'd feel free to double up the dose like that.
But you know I'm loosey-goosey with that kind of thing.
Hello daddy,
Hello mom,
I'm your ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb!!
If you want song grammar that makes Baby Jesus jump out of his cradle with a red pencil, may I offer "in the desert you don't remember your name/because it takes no one for to give you no pain"
Now that this will forever be associated with a creeptastic murder scene on MILLENIUM for me, I don't have such a problem with that song.
HA.
Awesome drummer, isn't he? Especially the right-handed riff at time marker 2:34! Steve Smith's explosive solos and intricate timekeeping served to gain him much acclaim from sources such as Modern Drummer Magazine, whose readers voted him the #1 All-Around Drummer five years in a row (during the peak of Journey's popularity). In 2001 Modern Drummer Magazine named Steve as one of the Top 25 Drummers of All Time, and in 2002 he was voted into the Modern Drummer's Hall of Fame. He has also played on albums from Jean Luc Ponty, Bryan Adams, Savage Garden, Andrea Bocelli and Mariah Carey.
(Reply) wow, he's played with all the legends!
Tommy, is that you?
Um, no. Because in a just universe, Dylan and Bowie would have sold better than Journey.

Wait, WHAT?!

To be followed with "Joan Crawford."
"Veterans of the Psychic Wars." God damn, I love that song.

That was one of the first albums I ever owned. But currently I only have "Joan Crawford" on CD/iPod. Must remedy that.
Oh, and that album has a song that was co-written by Patti Smith! When she was dating the guy from BÖC.
eta: Oh, it seems Patti co-wrote multiple BÖC songs....
