That was one of the first albums I ever owned. But currently I only have "Joan Crawford" on CD/iPod. Must remedy that.
Oh, and that album has a song that was co-written by Patti Smith! When she was dating the guy from BÖC.
eta: Oh, it seems Patti co-wrote multiple BÖC songs....
Wait, WHAT?!
Heh. This is what my mother was told. Due to The Meth-Heads, the actually effective cough syrup is now behind the counter -- still non-prescription, but you have to ask for it.
Stupid Meth-Heads.
She thinks it's a reaction to prednisone, which she took for two months with no side effect. (Upon googling, it's listed as a "serious" side effect, which just makes me feel so much better...)
Oh yeah. Prednisone's a bitch with all its side effects, and I could see that definitely being a cause of her symptoms. I for one never develop my side effects from prednisone until 4-8 weeks after I'm finished with it. They're always the same issue and usually take a few months and sometimes another med to resolve. The reality is if it's at all related to an autoimmune disorder or a crossover, it can take just as long to diagnose. Doctors still think in the "horse not zebra" realm which isn't really applicable IMHO with autoimmune disorders. I could use myself and my entire maternal side of the family as an example of zebras. Tell your friend good luck. I know how difficult the wait can be.
Delsym is a good non-methable cough supressant. That's all it does, but it can be useful.
Anything with pseudoephedrine (Sudafed) is now behind the counter, and pharmacies (in NY, at least) will only let you buy 1 box at a time. VERY annoying, to say the least.
Re earlier discussion of Robocalls. Apparently the Republican party has been sending out waves of call automated messages that would mislead many voters into thinking they came from the Democrat. For example the message might say: "I'm calling to provide information on important stands taken by "so and so". Most people will hang up at the point, assuming from the wording that the call was made on behalf of so and so. If someone stays on to listen, so much the better because then it can go to explain that candidate enjoys kicking puppies, surrendering to terrorists or whatever. Only if you list all the way through do you find out that the call is from the Republican Party. This happens to be illegal in many states, but I'm sure there will be firewalls between the individuals or organization directly doing this, and the candidates and major Republican organizations.
I do understand that if a careful firewall has been not built , someone is liable for some really be fines in New Hampshire and several other states where penalties are on a per call basis.

Even more annoying (for my poor sick mother, anyway) is that Sudafed brand put out a crappy formulation that can stay on the shelves, so she bought that all unawares.
It's very random here. Target is all special hand signals and blood oaths, but the Safeway has everything out on the shelves.
It smells like someone burned a brownie in the microwave.
Yeah, I took some pointless Sudafed last night. But I thought cough syrup was different from pseudoephedrine. Fuck!
