The veg "meat food" bugs me as well.
You know, the market is flooded with Tofurkey and other products where vegetarian foods are made to resemble meat. What's missing, of course, is a line of foods where meat is made to resemble vegetables. This is an unexplored opportunity for the food industry.
I wonder if you could remove the coloring of hamburger and press it into bricks so it'd look like tofu....
I get creeped out enough when I stay up past the point I should and memory gets a little fuzzy. I hope I'll never need ambien.
So do kids still make instruments out of metal hershey cocoa tins (canisters?) and rubber bands? Does the stuff even still come in metal tins?
(not as random as it seems. Interview on the radio with a former member of Wilco. He talked about making instruments as a kid.)
They do still make the cans, as far as I've seen. The generic cocoa tins (at least at my store of choice) are a square shape, which might be even better for the addition of rubber bands.
I don't think they make the tins, any more. At least the container I have is plastic. It's the same shape and size, but not made of metal.

Phooey. We used to nail bits of wood to them to make dubious facsimilies of violins or guitars and make really painful squawks and twangs. So much fun. I also recall perpetual (or not) motion machines from oatmeal canisters and drums out of metal Charlie's potato chip vats, but the latter I suspect were from an earlier generation.
metal Charlie's potato chip vats
We used to get Charles Chips stuff delivered! God, I'd forgotten all about that.
We also still had a milkman when I was really little, like under six. So weird to think about that now.
We had a milkman. My mother stopped using the milk delivery service when they abandoned glass bottles. We also had an egg lady.
CSI question:
Why is Greg so worried about the coroner's inquest? Is he anything other than a victim/dude who helped save someone else?
We had a milkman when I was very little. Until about 1985ish, I think.
