Just assume the pan is frictionless and the bread is a cube and it will feel a lot more like physics.

I actually have a problem with this, too. I can bake very well, but it's pure instinct and knowing this will go with this, and that will not go with that. If I have to explain why, I can't do it.
Also - Doritos in cottage cheese is most tasty.
