I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My head hurts and I'm about to reach for the muscle relaxants.

I am glad I live somewhere where torters are unlikely. Also, I have no candy, and have never given any out. It's a tradition I manage to completely forget.

I smell of my assistant. It's distracting and weird.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

My neck hurts, and I'm cold. Muscle relaxants sound good.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I have applied for the job I really want. ::crosses fingers::

And I only ate 4 tiny pieces of Halloween candy this evening, despite much provocation (see above re: job application). But it's too late to sit up and watch VM; I have to pack for a site visit tomorrow and go to bed.

Bah, my life is boring.

Swouncing

Skipping and poking head to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Ginger's birthday.

Happy birthday, Ginger! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Happy Birthday, Ginger!!!

Can someone draft a memo to my children about Daylight Savings Time, please? Remind them that they are supposed to sleep an hour later. Ta, ever so.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Happy Birthday, Ginger!

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Good luck, 'Suela! I hope you get the job.

Am I going to give it another shot? Or will that just make me hate myself more?

You TOTALLY need to give it a shot! The first episode was way better than anything in season three was. And I dropped season three like last year's underpants. But now? With omg so ripped and HAWT Ryan, and eco-feminist Summer, etc etc, I am so right there. I think it's going to be a good season. Please let not this optimism bute me in the ass.

Now I really want to watch House.

What is even happening?

Oh, poor Cashmere. My kids always got the time change backwards when they were wee, too. It was actually kind of nice in the Spring, when I was extra tired, though.

I saw your pictures in the other thread. I am dead of the cuteness. I think my favorite one though, is with them and your dad, on his bike. My cousin's grandsons (who are Julia's age) had Harley jackets. We have a picture of Julia in one, when she's about Owen's age.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I scrambled like hell to get home just after 7 PM, and I got ONE set of torters. But most of the kids were out earlier, so even though I kept the porch light on and had candles burning to at least indicate a little holiday observance, nobody else came. SIGH

I totally wish I'd thought of Mobile Treating.
