Of course, she got the 666 post as well. lil'devilfist.
Macy's also bought out Filene's and is even closing the very historic downtown store in Boston. (Filene's Basement is a separate corporation, so it will remain open.)
I understand that Macy's is doing or has done the same to Marshall Field's in Chicagoland.
In California, the places where there is a Robinson's May but no Macy's then the stores are rebranded as Macy's. Where there are both, they are closing the Robinson's May stores.
Here in Utah there was a store called ZCMI (Zions Commercial Mercantile something) that was founded by the Mormon pioneers and pretty much owned by the Mormon church. It got sold a few years back to the May company, which turned them all into Meier & Franks. There was some worry that a store the conservatives trusted not to get too radical in clothing would turn into something trendy and out of place. I wonder what Macy's will carry, or if they'll take into consideration that there are a lot of people with a lot of money around here who want a store where they can buy nice clothes that fit LDS standards.

Has done.
Also, Goldsmith's in the Memphis area is now Macy's. But that happened a couple of years ago.
ChiKat, they didn't close the one downtown, did they? I was hoping to hit up the Lush store in it. Not that there aren't other Lush stores in Chicago, but that one is where all the good shopping is!
connie, I've ahemmed the first two episodes of House, so far. I will check them out this week and report back to you on that matter.
No, they didn't close it, just changed it to Macy's. It's still there. In fact, Lush is in both downtown Macy/Marshall Fields. As well as the Macy's in Oak Brook.
I will check them out this week and report back to you on that matter.
Excellent.
