First off, I love your tagline. Forgive me? Kisses?
Of course. Compliments are nature's balm.
I'm also not observing this year, unless observance includes avoiding the parade, which passes close enough to my apartment that it took me 45 minutes to cross half a block last year. I think the last time I donned costume it was 2000.
Nilly! It's lovely to see you too. I'm well and looking forward to the kiddies in costumes tonight. It's my second year living in a neighbourhood after five years in a no trick-or-treating apartment building. I hope I have enough treats!
How are you?
Anyone who does not want to observe is welcome to come to my place and give out Little Debbie cakes with me to munchkins in my building. There might also be cider on the stove and if I feel really ambitious apple tarts.
Maybe I will. When do you leave work?
Well, I have found the secret to getting service from UPS. Apparently their automated system must have someone monitoring calls, because 1 minute after I swore out the computer and asked how they manage to stay in business with such crappy customer service, I got a call from an actual live human being with directions for picking up the package that my delivery driver couldn't manage the herculean effort of ringing a door buzzer for yesterday.
That'd be fun! (er, that was to msbelle, not the wayward UPS stuff.)
I used to go to my friend's and help her wrangle the kids until her husband got home, and then mind the door while they went out trick or treating. Timing is all screwed up this year, so I'll be slapping a "sorry, no candy" postit on the door and watching tv.
We observed Halloween like whoa this weekend. Pictures probably tomorrow.
Emmett woke up early and is already in his Harpo cotume and also in character (he's whistling "Camptown Races" while watching
At the Races).
Baby went four hours last night without needing a feeding. That's a record!
Ouise, that what that I am, now, is running away from the computer and out of the university for the evening, but sadly not to msbelle's place.
Have a (what's the appropriate description?) Halloween, those who observe it, and just a good day, everybody!
Happy Birthday DCJ!
Happy Anniversary, HouseofReasons!
Feel better Sue, and Ouise, and any/everyone else I am missing.
This is the first year in a while that I won't be going to any non-work parties, which makes me a little sad, but not too much.
I still need to decide if I want to wear a tiara, or the Pimp Hat, or just go without for the work thing.
