The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Are we going to get pictures of (you in) the Aunt E. costume, ita?

I did a very scary thing and ventured to the new Boscov's (Buscov? Boscuv?)... during its grand opening. Actually, wasn't bad at all. I got a skirt cut on the bias in a light plaidish pattern an a green sweater that goes well with it. List price would have been $88, but yay! sales! $40. I later got some brown boots to go with it that I may return and get the aerosoles I tried on first instead. I need to go walk through the fog now with a large hunting dog now or something.

Still can't find sweater sets that aren't itchy, icky or too expensive.

I do think I like Boscov's ok, as much as I can like a department store. Partly the layout (it's in an old Macy's whose layout didn't make me insane) partly the way the clothes are arranged. They aren't using tall racks in the center parts, so I feel like I can actually see stuff without taking a machete and plunging in.

Grocery shopped, then came home and vacuumed and mopped. Eating thai chicken pizza now. Laundry will wait for tomorrow, manicure monday, hair....eh, sometime.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Whoot! College football upset of the year (according to the announcers who know a whole lot more than I)! Oregon State just beat ... ::checks tv:: USC! Crowd mobbed the field and is just insane in a cute and not!rioting way.

And, yeah, I only know this because I missed the end of the NASCAR Busch race in Memphis and so I put on ESPN (some recap show was on and talking about this game that was still in progress so I found that and watched the end), but still it was an exciting half an hour of football.

Memphis: Harvick won. Montoya finished ??? 11th, I think and had a good race. Many wrecks and yellow flags.

I'm jealous of everyone's Halloween Weekend plans. Me, I'm sitting at home (alone, 'cause DH is at his parents' until Wednesday) eating reheated enchiladas, and will probably be asleep before 11. (Dear energy-draining first trimester, feel free to end anytime now! No love, Tired Jess)

Shite! Me too! I gave up one race to do another but with my legs (Race for the Cure).

BTW, new webpage with lots more photos of other things and new blog. I'll have updated photos from Daytona in couple weeks too.

What is even happening?

(Dear energy-draining first trimester, feel free to end anytime now! No love, Tired Jess)
I was never more ready to sleep, particularly the first time around, Jess. For what's it worth, the second trimester of my first pregnancy rocked. I felt like a slayer. I had energy to spare, felt great, and all around enjoyed it.

Have you been sick much?

Good racing. I am on Komen's Grants Committee locally. Fantastic group!

There were a lot of cautions that they occasionally paused for some racing... Yellows just bred more yellows. Like bunnies.

Wow, some great pictures! t goes back to poking around

More of a low-grade flu feeling than your classic television morning sickness. (Which, by the way, I would love to trade for. Three minutes of being pregnant in the morning and then looking and feeling completely normal the rest of the day until month 9? Sign. Me. Up.)

(There's a pregnant character on The Nine who's about as far along as I am, and the show has her waking up early to jog every morning before work. HA.)

Standard for a short/shorter track. And fairly typical of races at Memphis, I believe.

Wow, some great pictures!
Thanks! My parents bought me an incredible camera last xmas.

And the Race was so much fun. I'm a cyclist so running was new to me.

Awwwwwww!!

Tina the tortoise has been given a lift after being fitted with a suspension system and a pneumatic tyre to help her cope with muddy terrain.

The three-legged reptile can now go ‘off-road’ after the 4×4-style system was attached to her shell.

Tina was fitted with a plastic wheel four years ago to replace her rear right leg.

But our increasingly warmer autumns mean Tina hibernates later in the year, leaving her battling to cope with muddy grass and slopes and dead leaves.

So the rudimentary wheel has now been replaced with an air-filled tyre and a spring suspension system with shock absorber.
