Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah...might have played better if she didn't know the Brit was such a babe, as opposed to not knowing she was a chick ION, I am more disgusted than even I believed possible with Rush Limbaugh. Gimp humor...clever, you impotent windbag.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

GG:

"Apparently, she did not -- or she thought that in the old country people lived 18th century lives and therefore no women at the office. "

Heh. Though it may have been reasonable of her to assume that the women who DO wear suits to business meetings and don't show off their legs to close deals.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Nah, I'd close a deal with a show of leg. But I have working the room issues. [GG]

I either sleep in pants or shorts most of the time. The shorts aren't proper outside shorts, mostly--boxers with unsecured fly. And looser than I'd normally wear.

Cass, I rechecked the credits for that WitB episode, and it wasn't from a McDiarmid book. But now I'm completely blanking on the name. The next ep is, though. I'm assuming that they're moving on to increased familiarity with the new chick and making her just do the Carol Jordan stuff, because IIRC, Carol doesn't go to Johannesburg in the books. Which reminds me, in the books, Tony Hill has erectile dysfunction, and there was an exchange in this second ep that seemed to reference it, even though it's never been mentioned onscreen.

Have all 4 eps aired? I realised I only have three of this season.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Matilda is offically the awakest baby ever. So very conscious.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Have all 4 eps aired? I realised I only have three of this season.
Third ep is A Hole in the Heart and the fourth is Wounded Surgeon.
I'm assuming that they're moving on to ...
Yep. I watched the second ep and was placated by the way they are developing things. Sometimes I forget to have a little faith in BBC shows.

Then again? I watched Hex. Fool me once, shame on you... Fool me twice and you'd just better have pretty things to distract me.

Wounded Surgeon has aired? I must have missed that in the Adelphia -> Time Warner switchover. It has all my digital channels frelled.

I have achieved 1/3 of one shoulder of Aunty Entity! This is quite exciting.

Swouncing

Skipping and poking head to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Fiona's birthday. Happy birthday, Fiona! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

Also, since I may not have internet access then, Saturday, the 28th, will be aurelia's birthday, so early wishes for her, as well!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Gronklies, all!

I don't know if it's been mentioned here, but NJ dipped its toe into the gay marriage pool -- not exactly recognizing gay marriage, but (like VT) admitting that the existing system is unequal and must be changed.

I'm only afeared that the neo-cons will actually get some traction on it in the polls.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Happy birthday, Fiona!

30 Rock: My god, that was hilarious. I wasn't sure if I was going to keep watching after the dicey humor of the first two episodes, but this is fantastic. I was laughing the entire time. The only way it would have been better would have been if Tina Fey had actually turned out to be a lesbian. I think they made the right choice to limit Tracey Morgan--he was what was really turning me off from the show. Alec Baldwin, however, freaking owns the screen. the poker game was *fantastic.*

GG: This is the first time I've really, actively liked GG so far this season. I thought the stuff between Christopher and Lorelai was intriguing, and as much as I have whiplash from the character turnaround, from Luke to Chris, I can't say I'm disappointed. She seems easier with him. Less trying hard to be in a relationship, more just being in a relationship. And the last scene of L, C, and R driving home in the car was brilliant, for the first few seconds of peaceful family togetherness, and the the aching look of hope Rory got; to Christopher bobbing his head super-dorkily to the music; and then finally to the pickles smell. Wonderful. If the show sticks along these lines, I'll be happy to keep watching.

ION, training someone is frustrating and boring. I want it to be the weekend already.
