Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

The status is NOT quo.

She is responsible for the destruction of society!

If you work with kids, I'd say get one because they're little petrie dishes--and they can suffer more from the effects of the flu if you pass it on to them.

This. I've gotten free flu shots from school every year but the time they had that massive shortage a couple of years back. I get mine this Friday. Also, ftr, I hate needles, but the flu shot needle is eensy and not very long, so it really barely hurts.

SA, your pictures are jealoustastic!

I am paralyzed by having too many small-ish tasks to do, all of which are basically due early next week. Ahh!!

Jesse is me.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ah. I am different. I am paralyzed by having too many massive tasks to do, all of which are basically due early next week.

I am compensating by sitting in my chair a lot and also, moving pieces of paper around. I expect instant success, any minute now.

Heh.

Also, I appear to have mislaid a 200 dollar check. I am an idiot. Where the hell did I put it?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am doing new screen layouts for an as-yet-to-be-coded app. I am doing them in excel because I don't know HTML.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

After talking to my recruiter I hit up the web for news articles about my previous employer. I was most tickled by the assertion that severance packages won't impact the cost savings they're trying to incur with the rounds of layoffs.

No shit. One or two weeks?

In other news, I was about to start cutting the fabric for my Halloween costume, and I discovered I have no straight pins. What sort of shambles am I calling a home.

Sadly, too much migraine to go buy any, so I'm just going to watch Wire In The Blood.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I finally had to give up on getting a chance to eat breakfast and am now eating a very yummy turkey and brie sandwich for lunch.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I totally wanted a turkey and brie sandwich for lunch! Maybe tomorrow.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Mmm. That does sound good. I had ham & French swiss (which, okay, whatever) but it was not as good. It was okay. And I really need to be cooking now but I am paralyzed by not wanting to very much. So tonight when I get home, all whacked out and tired from the kids, I will be completely unable to cook, and we will eat Dr. Peppers and popcorn or something equally terrible.

Okay, that sucks. Maybe I will go cook.

Liese is also me. (And I'm in denial about the actual amount of work I have to do by Monday, so I'm going to pretend that they are really all very small tasks, yestheyareindeedy.)
