Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Excellent zombie bear stuffed animal: [link]

He is made from fleece, felt and polyfil. He is quite big: 16 inch high.
His intestines are removable from his stomach.

You know how some people shouldn't drink and dial?

I shouldn't email while planning. It's just not good.

I accidentally grabbed a box of those antiviral kleenex for my office. I think they are kind of defective. They separate very easily into individual sheets. Or individual and a duo. And what's with the blue spots. Remind me of spores.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Morals and ethics. I probably lack morals but have plenty of ethics. (I think.)

I love Chili's Southwest egg rolls, for lo, they ROCK. But it's too late for lunch now, unless you're on the West coast.

I am random today.

Speaking of random....

First off, hippo birdies to people, and much congrats to Jessica and DH if I haven't said it yet.

Now then, hivemind question.... what are the benefits and drawbacks to getting a flu shot. Our office is setting them up for free (if you have our insurance), and I don't know whether or not I should get one.

information libertarian

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

advantages if you have a compromised immune system - asthma , strong allergies, diabetes - any thing where you get sick and it means you are sick for a week ormore - it is one more thing you can avoid. If you are around people that have a compromised immune system - it is one less thing you bring to them.

disadvantages - sore arm , and if you were comming dowmn with a cold , it may be worse than usual

neutral - it will only keep you from getting the flu that is in the vaccine

other notes - don't get them to early - If I recall correctly, the vaccine is most potent in the three months following the shot.

Happy Birthday, Brenda!!

If you work with kids, I'd say get one because they're little petrie dishes--and they can suffer more from the effects of the flu if you pass it on to them.

One drawback, however, is that you never know which virus is out there. The vaccines are estimated on which strains are the most likely ones currently being passed around. So a vaccine is not guarantee you won't get some strain of flu.

A pro, though, is that if you do get it, you most likely will suffer a lot less from the infection.
