Who's On First might make someone laugh for days, IF IT WAS POSSIBLE to be of that age, and to have lived in the US for the last fifty years, completely ignorant of it such that it didn't even ring a bell. It was the earnest explanation of "Who's On First," on top of being mocked for unfamiliarity with commedia dell'arte in the past few weeks, that sort of finished me on Sorkin.

And oh, I forgot the all-black-people-know-each-other-blunder that the parents made. Guh. If you're writing an episode that features a subplot about a black writer wanting to find other black writer-comics who can talk intelligently about race or bring a non-stereotypical voice to the show and if the protagonist of that plot is tired of the "difference between white and black people" sort of comics who go on about baby-mamas and big booties, wouldn't it be nice if in the other subplot in the same episode, the parents had made a more intelligent racial faux pas, when they met the black writer?

And the soldier son! It would have been more realistic instead of the parents not getting what the kid did for a living, to have them offended that S60 had done some real anti-war sketch that he wrote.

I would really like S60 to be cancelled so I can stop watching it. It's not even a love/hate relationship at this point, it's an unhealthy-fascination/hate relationship.

Perzactly, plus it's on between HEROES and TDS/TCR (of course, what's my excuse for last night when TDS/TCR are in re-runs?), so it kills the hour I might otherwise give up, set up to tape TDS/TCR and go to bed.

However, I could also use that hour to watch, say, the DEADWOOD eps I'm trying to catch up on. Or even the DR. WHO I've taped, but noooooo!

Sorkin either needs to get back on the shrooms or give them up; I'm not sure which.

I'm done with S60 after last night. That was very stupid and bad, and after about halfway through, I stopped really paying attention to it anyway.
