My 13-y.o. niece is easy to shop for--earrings, earrings, earrings, the danglier the better. She wants to set a record for Biggest Earring Collection (no, seriously!). It used to be All Shoes, All the Time (when she was in preschool, no less), so at least this is cheaper, and much easier to buy without her being there to make sure they fit.
Mom's out visiting my sister right now (she just had her stomach stapled last week), and they're going to spend the next day or two making jewelry. When Courtney (the niece) came out to visit Kris (the sister) over the summer, she was thrilled when Kris took her to the bead shop in Olympia, WA, which I've heard is humongous.
I'm starting to look for cool and unusual earrings already at some of the more eclectic boutiques for Xmas gifts for both Kris and Courtney, and maybe Mom as well.
Don't spoil me for Pixar's Cars!
Don't spoil you? Did you turn into a pod-person with your weekend away, or from your recent experiments of eating food while it was still hot?

The cars get their kicks on route 66. For reals.

Has Studio 60 aired in the States yet? Because
I am in love, love, love with the comedian they found at the comedy club. Damien? Maybe? If someone could please get on sending him to me, maybe with some cheetos, I would appreciate that.
Expedience is a virtue, people.

Oddly, Avon at least used to have a really good selection of these. I was rummaging a friend's jewelry box and everytime I asked where the pretties had come from? Avon. Who knew?
I'll let the grandparents spoil the grandkids and get in trouble with my sister-in-law
Good plan.
My dad and I are the only ones in the family who caught the race bug. Everyone else just thinks we are nuts. We think they are.

Sadly, nope. For East & Central, we still have another 2.5 hours.
My new favorite track has to be Miller Motorsports Park outside Salt Lake City.
Do you know this from personal experience? IE, are you in/near Utah?

How sad! If only they knew what they were missing. I'd race more often if I didn't work and wasn't taking classes as well. One of my brothers on the other hand got it right my working for my dad so he could race the whole season. Too bad I could never work for my dad.
Do I get Matthew Perry if I catch him, SA?

Actually, I'm currently in Memphis, TN. I had a race there in August and absolutely fell in love with the track.
I know more about racing than I really want to. I could actually follow your entire conversation with no problems.
I've got my minion researching racing right now while I'm working on pro soccer and basketball.
