When you're racing - it's life. Anything that comes before or after is just waiting.

New BSG convert, too. Caught the "Story So Far" and got hooked. Just caught up on the season premiere after work. Now, I can't wait til Friday.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

You're in luck, the first two seasons are out on DVD and readily available.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Totally worth it. This show is amazing.

But if someone does find a good intro spot, do post. My sis just caught the last few eps of last season and wants to catch up.

What is even happening?

How do people tell all the boys apart?

Apollo: Cute short one. Flirts with Starbuck. Helo: Cute tall one. In love with
Cylon. Chief: Cute stocky one. Dated Boomer.

Okay, is Apollo's last name Adama (is he Edward James Olmos's character's son)?

Helo is the one who had the baby with Sharon!Cylon, that someone else is raising, right?

Who is Boomer? Who is the one Starbuck had to leave on (original) Caprica, but then married ?

I did too, and am too, but then I watched 5 minutes of the season premiere and decided I was still missing too much, so now I have to watch the first two seasons. Maybe I'll be caught up by next season, if there is one.

I seem to recall there being talk in anticipation of it, it around the time Firefly got the boot, so this being season three makes sense. I think I'm going to keep watching (we seem to have the episodes for this season so far, on TiVo) and buy the first two seasons worth of DVDs and catch up during reruns. There are going to be big chunks of time where Lost and Veronica Mars aren't on the air.

Yep. Sparky is going to lend them to me.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I love the herbal rice heaty things. Smell good and feel good.

I have the heaty thing... which is brand-named 'Bed Buddy'. (I try not to snicker.) It's also really nice for draping around your neck.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have thermacare patches and an electric heater. Not only do I not have a microwave, I like heat that can stay hot all night.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Apollo = Lee Adama, Gen. William Adama's son

Starbuck = Kara Thrace, fighter pilot extraordinaire, married to Anders .

Boomer = Lt. Sharon Valerii, Cylon .

Helo = Lt. Karl Agathon, Cylon baby daddy .
