Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

And I'm a morning person. It's kinda wasted on me.

Nah, I'll be enjoying the hell out of it while I can. Just because I'm a morning person doesn't mean I actually want to do stuff then. I never want to do stuff, morning or no.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I want to not do stuff too.

Thinks about evening

Heh. Never mind.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

ita: I have an idea. You should do the sleeping thing and tell us what crystal-clear clarity is like!

Ha. If sleeping cures the migraines, I'm in. Otherwise...not so much, with the either pain, memory of pain, or fear of pain. No time for crystal.

The status is NOT quo.

You should do the sleeping thing and tell us what crystal-clear clarity is like!

bon bon wins!

Damn. Well it was worth a try.

In all seriousness, ita, I hope that you get some time to not work before finding the perfect job. It is possible that not being so stressed constantly will help the migraines at least a little bit, right? Either way. I won't hug you (I like my pinky and the rest of me to remain intact), but I am wishing good things your way.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Good luck, ita. Having more or less taken off the summer before coming here, I kind of look back on that time as a much-needed relaxant after four years of crazily-paced work. So maybe scheduling a month for yourself is something good that is just for you, you know? Either way, I have nothing but confidence that things will work out for you.

It's morning, and everyone's in a meeting, and I'm not really sure what I should be doing. It's that weird line between responsibility and only being a temp. I'm not sure which direction to go in.

sconey follow-up:

I just about died laughing at this. Bonus points: mentions Joss!

Man, I hope Jars gets back from the States quick. This posting by oneself business is eerie.

Thomas Allen makes really cool art:

A photographer based in Michigan, Allen's made a career of tearing other people's work apart. Literally. Armed with an X-acto knife, a stack of old paperbacks, and a camera, Allen works, as he says, to create new worlds. In his artist's statement, he writes: "I've always been fascinated by pop-up books, dioramas, 3-D glasses and the View Master for they all have the ability to picture false realities." Fitting, then, that he should use pieces of fiction in order to create new worlds of his own.

What is even happening?

Yes! I saw that, yesterday. One of the Fuggers wrote for TWoP once upon a time (maybe when it was still MBTV), and wrote the re-cap of The Replacement. Her description of Buffy's outfit in that recap left me breathless--with tears streaming down my face, the first time I read it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG, Jesse! I"m glad I'm not the only one who still remembers that. She's such a freak.

I feel like, all this time, everytime anyone's mentioned Fergie (not here), and I've been all "SHE PEED HER PANTS," and they're all, "Whuh?" Now I have the proof.

I don't understand why I can't wake up in the mornings any more. I've been going to bed at a reasonable hour! I blame you people for mentioning the crystal clarity. Oh, also maybe the fact that it's still dark. Ish.
