Wesley: Hey. Hey, Gunn. Is something weird going on? … Charles, you just peed on my shoes. Gunn: I'll be damned. That's weird.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Happy birthday, Sail!

I am looking for permission to not go into work this morning. Since I'm having a migraine, and I'm not a kid living at home with my parents, I'm not sure why.

I just...missing two departmental status meetings today? So not good. But that's not supposed to be the point. I'm supposed to be the point. I have no idea why this is so difficult. It's not like I have a work ethic.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, Sail!

Don't go to work, ita.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Eek. Buffistas in NC and Memphis please to not be on fire, ok?

Here, we've got an explosion at a house that destroyed the house utterly and blew the homeowner, the dog, and the cat out of the house and on to the lawn. Which, probably a good thing all told. All three are alive. They have no idea what happened.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

They have no idea what happened.

I bet the cat knows....

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

GUH - I thought my minion was getting better, but this morning since I am working for home, I left him with a a task list IN ORDER, that even said it was IN ORDER - it was very detailed with instructions on who to talk to and where to find things and what to do if a or b happens. He just IM'd me asking about the LAST thing on the list.

My hands are shakey. I really shouldn't be driving.

Decision made.

So why do I feel like a shirker, even though I plan on calling in to all the meetings if I stay home?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Buffistas in NC and Memphis please to not be on fire, ok?

I don't think we have anyone down that way -- the mess is 30 miles or so to the south of most of us -- but it's close enough to cause traffic and worry. And, of course, sheer bogglement at the town of Apex for allowing a hazardous waste dump right in the middle of downtown and then not making it clean up after years and years of safety violations.

So what's up with Memphis? We're obviously getting mostly local news around here...

Okay, back to bed. Some work already done, and I have a couple hours yet before my first meeting.
