Buffistas in NC and Memphis please to not be on fire, ok?
I don't think we have anyone down that way -- the mess is 30 miles or so to the south of most of us -- but it's close enough to cause traffic and worry. And, of course, sheer bogglement at the town of Apex for allowing a hazardous waste dump right in the middle of downtown and then not making it clean up after years and years of safety violations.
So what's up with Memphis? We're obviously getting mostly local news around here...
Okay, back to bed. Some work already done, and I have a couple hours yet before my first meeting.
I left him with a a task list IN ORDER, that even said it was IN ORDER - it was very detailed with instructions on who to talk to and where to find things and what to do if a or b happens. He just IM'd me asking about the LAST thing on the list.
That sucks, msbelle. I've got two senior (I'm talking over 10 years in the company) people like that, so I've had to teach a couple of the junior folks how to prioritize based on my reports and they actually do it right. The others, I just don't worry about anymore. I tell my planner I'll be gone and he goes in and tidies up for me what the junior guys haven't picked up on yet.
Thanks for all the birthday happies! It is so far. Teh daughter came over and made breakfast for me. So. sweet.
Happy Birthday, Sail! Hope you have a great rest of the day!
I'm leaving work for the day in 10 minutes! Woooo!
If not, we can come up with something less time-intensive, like meeting at a restaurant or my place in Somervile.
Ooh, this sounds like a very excellent plan, as I think Bloke may have plans and suchlike.
Have subscribed, hopefully.
I may not have much internet access while I'm there, so I shall try and get things sorted beforehand.
I am surprising myself by actually working while "working from home". But I am also catching up on my NPR podcasts, and, of course, I am in glorified pjs.
Jars, which Sunday and Monday are you going to be in NY, the ones coming up right away, or the ones in 10 days?
