Zoe: I thought you wanted to spend more time off-ship this visit. Wash: Out there is seems like it's all fancy parties. I like our party better. The dress code is easier and I know all the steps.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

I think Frigg and Freya were two. I shall name my thighs accordingly.

Because books.

I think Frigg and Freya were two.

One was Odin's main squeeze. The other (Freya) was pretty much the Norse answer to Aphrodite.

Because books.

I saw the lovely and adorable JZ shower photos.

I missed this, somehow.

Darn. They seemed thightastic.

They do have a certain ring to them...

Our wings are not tired

I really have no desire to go pick up a pint of paint for touch ups. I'm not going to do a full paint job but I've got a paint chip and I'm going to pick up a small amount of paint just to touch up the walls where I patched the nail holes.

I also have one area where the carpet is stained. I don't really want to do a full carpet cleaning but might try to get the one big stain up.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Ok, I totally shouldn't care about this but, I do.

At Soul Sucking Job, they wouldn't let me have business cards - they said it was unneccessary. Also, my title was "Associate Accountant", even though my duties were that of a "Property Accountant". But the "Property Accountant" was in Philly.

New girl? Yeah. Business cards and the title.

Like I said, it shouldn't bug, but it does.

Always Anti-fascist!

Hec, maybe Emmett will grow up to be a Farrelly type and support you with those poop jokes. But hopefully, he may learn time and place in the meantime. It's raining here, which is nice, but my life still sucks, which is not.

We are on day #4 of classes. There are a total of 5 comments in the library's all-purpose comment book. Two of them are students stressing because they're scared they won't have a job when they graduate, and another is from someone who has a 6-figure offer but isn't sure s/he wants to take it.

I hope this isn't an indication of the year ahead, because I feel nothing for them.

(There is also the all purpose, "I got to make the first comment!" comment, and someone asking if they should go to class or the A's game next Monday night.)

someone asking if they should go to class or the A's game next Monday night

Well, that is a tough decision. I mean the Red Sox are coming into town. And it is the A's, I mean - come on. It is not like there will be another chance to see the A's play the Red Sox. Well, other than Tuesday and Wednesday, but that doesn't count. Priorities, people.

The advice he got was to go to the game, of course. Those of us who have the wisdom gained from years of experience know that a baseball game is more important than class.
