[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mostly lurking...

I'm so smart! One of the books I ordered for school this semester never came. I think I got my money back. But, I forgot to get it somewhere else.

Well, I have to read that book by Tuesday and write a critical response on it. No time to order it now. BUT, my local library has it. W00T! It's like a free book! (Well, if you don't count the fines I have to pay to pick it up.)

I am at my layover, but I am taking the same plane home, so I don't have to get off the plane. Yay!

Yay Nora for school focus! I'm at the midterm mark and while I'll admit to some stress over midterms, overall I'm happy with my program and am learning a lot.

Lily continues to be crazy cute [link] and her mother continues to wear the hott crown.

Here's another niece shot and my nephew as a wee bear cub (with my brother and pumpkin HK!): [link] [link]

IT'S FRIDAY!!!

GC, your neice and nephew are so very cute. The bear cub outfit makes your nephew look like a cuddly teddy bear.

I will be posting many pictures sometime tomorrow.

GC, CUTE!

Your brother looks disturbingly like Mr. Tori Spelling.

Vanilla latte:

What a great Friday! I just got this feedback on a presentation I did in class (appropriately enough on tagging, blogs, wikis, and participation inequality [thanks, Jessica!]):

Looking at my notes, you did very well. You brought in outside readings, engaged the readings, problematized the topic, and provided good analysis. We don't have hard-coded grades yet, but based on my notes, you received high marks.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Looking at my notes, you did very well.

Dangling participle alert!

problematized the topic

Er, what?

We don't have hard-coded grades yet, but based on my notes, you received high marks.

Go you!

Er, what?

I find myself thinking that often in this particular class. The prof is a young, ambitious type who seems more interested in showing us how smart he is than in actually engaging the class in the topic. Fortunately, my other class is really interesting and useful.
