Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I need to hit Costco, either today or tomorrow. Oooh, fun.

This morning, I brought in a HUGE bag of candy. I put it in the office kitchen around 8am. It was GONE by 10am. HUGE BAG. Better here than at home. There is still plenty of candy at home.

Mostly lurking...

vw, Does she believe that you turned them in (i.e., does she remember getting the envelope from you)?

Yes, she does believe that I turned them in. She knows I've been working my ass off trying to get caught up and has helped walk through some of the problems. She's seen the work in-progress, so I don't think there's any doubt in her mind that it exists. She doesn't remember that specific envelope, but apparently there were several in her box that day.

Those are some great ideas about how to approach the situation. Thank you. No accusations are being made on either side, and I know she feels terrible that they may have gotten lost on her end. Just a frustrating situation all around. But, we'll get through it.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I love that Suzi, Cindy, & Cass can translate for me.

juliana, this is the album. It's a three-disc set, but it's likely you'll want more than that one song anyway. Heh.

I have quite a bit of Discs 1 & 2, but I don't think I have any of Disc 3.

So far the top contenders are THOK! CHOK! KKNNKKK! and the all-purpose THUD!

LOVE.

Oooh, fun.

Innit? I love that place. Stuff piled to the rafters and free food samples. Fabulous. And it wasn't even crowded today, which is always a pleasure.

brillig

are there any Buffistas within reach of Boise, Idaho?

Not in practical reach, unfortunately. I'm in Provo, Utah.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh my son adores it too.

Do you ever discuss with him some of the more adult themes of the show, like the fact that Jet is a psychopath and Ba Sing Se is a classic Orwellian dystopia?

I mentioned Kristin's dinner to DH and he assumed I was spending the night there next weekend. I don't wanna party crash, but I thought it was funny that he now assumes I'm just gonna not be able to drive home.

Jet is a psychopath

He got that one on his own.

Ba Sing Se is a classic Orwellian dystopia

He gets part of it, he's only 10 so we have to go slow. He really loves it though. He's got some pretty insightful ideas, all things considered.

Yeah. The end of that episode was so damn creepy.

He really loves it though. He's got some pretty insightful ideas, all things considered.

That's cool. My ten-year-old cousin is also a big fan. Like, he pointed out continuity that I didn't notice.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

JZ fixed the espresso machine! She called the help number and they said, "Oh, the first time it sometimes takes 10 tries before the pump will prime. Just keep hitting that button." I only hit it about 8 times, I guess.

Anyway, it makes very good espresso which is perfect on such a drizzly gray day in SF.

I took Matilda with me on an outing downtown, braving the rain with a Baby Bjorn and an umbrella. I met ex-minion and went to my old temp agency (where I started 20 years ago - I know the owner very well). Owner was very happy to see the babe and got me some quickie work on election night sorting ballots. Woot! Money is good and it's time and a half.
