Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

And the perked ears. Perked ears are a must when I think of "Aroo?"

BOOK: "River..? Please, why don't you come on out..." RIVER: "No. Can't. Too much hair." - 'Jaynestown'

I was going to say THUNK for the macheté... But SHUNK works for me.

(Said the guy who's never seen a single episode of Lost.)

YES. Yes, this.

You love Avatar too? Whee! It makes me so happy by its very existence.

Oh yes. It's got this depth that I totally did not expect. The broadcasting is screwy, but TiVo hooks me up.

Oh hey - I know I've asked this before I believe the answer was no, but are there any Buffistas within reach of Boise, Idaho?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It's got this depth that I totally did not expect.

Seriously. I love all the characters, and it gets darker and more complex than I'd expect a kid's show on Nickelodeon to get. Also, as my tag will attest to, it's hilarious.

You love Avatar too?

Oh my son adores it too. I'm so sad that Appa and Ang are seperated, Momo is so sad.

See, I totally got, "Aroo?" and had no idea what Avatar was. I'm dating myself with cartoons.

I have returned from Costco with much paper product and some pretty, pink roses. Now I'm eating leftover, snack-sized Kit-Kats that I was supposed to get rid of. Well, I guess eating them is getting rid of them, technically. And having a glass of red wine. Life is good.

I need to hit Costco, either today or tomorrow. Oooh, fun.

This morning, I brought in a HUGE bag of candy. I put it in the office kitchen around 8am. It was GONE by 10am. HUGE BAG. Better here than at home. There is still plenty of candy at home.

Mostly lurking...

vw, Does she believe that you turned them in (i.e., does she remember getting the envelope from you)?

Yes, she does believe that I turned them in. She knows I've been working my ass off trying to get caught up and has helped walk through some of the problems. She's seen the work in-progress, so I don't think there's any doubt in her mind that it exists. She doesn't remember that specific envelope, but apparently there were several in her box that day.

Those are some great ideas about how to approach the situation. Thank you. No accusations are being made on either side, and I know she feels terrible that they may have gotten lost on her end. Just a frustrating situation all around. But, we'll get through it.
