Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Happy Birthday, Ginger!

Holey-moley, but we are bunch of good looking folk. I'm glad I waited until now to catch all these pictures because I don't know how many times I can come back to life after being killed ded-ded-ded by the cute! I miss handing out candy, but the last four or five apartments I've lived in have all had locked security doors. If I ever get around to actually owning a house I will probably buy 100 pounds of candy the first year to catch up.

IOmeN, I've taken part of today and all the rest of the week off, AIFG! I needed to use up my personal time before my hire anniversary (the 11th), so I am sitting here with a bottle of hard cider and admiring the adorableness, hotness, cuteness and otherworldy presence of all the beautiful Buffistae and the chilluns. All is well with my world.

Our wings are not tired.

The house I live in was built in the early 50's by a Mr. Clark, of Clark Bar fame. He was retired by that time. The people I know that were kids in the 50's tell wonderful tales of treats from Mr. Clark on Halloween. He would have piles of boxes and give multiple full sized bars (and they were bigger then too!) to the children.

Now tagless for your comfort.

We had (soft) cider and donuts last night with the kids after trick or treating.

I finished the donuts off today at breakfast.

Happy Bday, Ginger!

Very cute Buffista kids and parents.

KristinT, I need to show that to my 15 y.o. Just to prove to her that sometimes it could be worse. Much, much worse!!!

Last night my mom had over 250 kids come to her house. My daughter helped pass out candy because she thinks she's too old to trick-or-treat. I was surprised at how many of her classmates came by. We decided that the cut-off age for trick-or-treating should be when you can get a driver's license. We had the cutest little boy - about 2 1/2 or so - dressed as Woody last night (complete with cowboy boots), and after he said thank you, he blew a kiss! It was adorable.

Laura, that is so cool about your house! How fun that must have been. The 10 y.o. was all agog last night because a couple of the houses gave out full size candy bars which is "AWESOME" (to quote him).

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I am DYING OF THE LAUGHTER at Frank's filk.

IOMemeNews: My boss rocks the house. If I quit smoking for a month, he'll give me a $250 bonus.

Our wings are not tired.

I think I need to raid the candy stash before the boys get home.

Brendon was asked about his age. He looks older because of his size, but the lack of real facial hair gives away his youth. I suggested he was getting a bit old for this. Next year I'll talk him into having a party at the house instead.

I had both popcorn and candy this year. The popcorn is very popular. No leftovers though. A neighbor for several years had one of those real popcorn machines in the driveway and gave the kids actual popped corn. That was very cool.

It was raining off and on so we didn't have the number of block parties that we have had in the past. Still much better than last year. Hurricane Wilma had just passed and the roads were barely usable and there were no lights. We did have some bonfires going.

eta: Yay for Aimee's rocking boss!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I just skipped hugely. I had sucked but my browser crashed and then I just got over it and skipped on into the thread. I shall attempt to go back and at least skim later. Maybe.

No trick or treaters last night. Have masses of mini-Tootsie Roll pops. Which I bought cause I wasn't personally interested. Must find unsuspecting people to foist them upon.

Must go buy cat food and milk (Cass food coffee).

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

BWAH! Frank just killed me with the funny. I am totally singing that to my advisory on Friday.

Oh, and I think I may have forgotten earlier to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GINGER!
