I've had plenty of online interaction with her and like her a lot.
Thanks Kristin!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hey Buffy!
I'm not saying I'm headache free this morning, but I will say that today is a much better day than the last few.
Took CJ to the ortho yesterday afternoon and he will start Braces - Phase 1 next week. YIKES! The good news is that our insurance will cover 85% of the cost. The bad news is that there won't be any coverage left for Phase 2 (unless one of us has a new job by then).
where's a nice place to stay in London? Tom's dad is being slow in his response to Tom telling him we're coming so I wish to punish him by staying somewhere else, not in his neighborhood (Brentford) as originally planned. Back pain makes me vengeful and mean.
Nora, then you'll have to travel more to see them. Don't be punish-y if it's going to end up punishing you. I hope your sacroiliacorwhatamychsaid feels better.
Megan E., what is the name of that song? I have a vague memory of it and was trying to think of it when I read Nora's first post.
Welcome, vroomvroom! I've been hesitant to say it, because your board name is so fun, I might not stop saying it.

The misunderstanding-that-can-be-resolved-by-one-conversation thing annoys me in any show.
actually, I have a theory that this is responsible for the invention of chick lit - with somewhat smarter characters.
got a rejection letter from my last interview - which means they found someone really interested in working the children's room. Which is good. Though I don't hate the kids room, that was one of the negatives to that job.
happy iceing, nora
welcome new people
now, should I go to the cafe this am , and hear more spain stories or should I stay home?
Hi Laura! And others...including the new and not-completely newbies.
It's almost 6:00 pm and I'm sitting at work, over half an hour after my husband called and said "Can we get out of here at a reasonable hour tonight?" He's on the phone and I'm v. bored. And trying to decide if I should dispute an eBay thing or give the vendor one more chance to refund my money.

Nora, this goes back a number of years, but we stayed at the Strand Palace in 1994. I remember it as a nice place, not spectacular. It's central to a lot of tourist attractions (right on the Strand, which makes it walking distance to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, and one of the train stations -- Charing Cross, IIRC).
I'm not familiar enough with the area to know how far the Strand is from Brentford. But I'm sure you aren't right around the corner.
We were able to get a good deal by booking an air-and-room package through British Airways, so you may want to check and see if they still offer that sort of thing. And if the SP isn't your thing, they offered many other hotel options, too.
Thanks, Fred! Good to know!
