Occasionally I'm callous and strange.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

move out and draw fire

Hi Laura! And others...including the new and not-completely newbies.

It's almost 6:00 pm and I'm sitting at work, over half an hour after my husband called and said "Can we get out of here at a reasonable hour tonight?" He's on the phone and I'm v. bored. And trying to decide if I should dispute an eBay thing or give the vendor one more chance to refund my money.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Nora, this goes back a number of years, but we stayed at the Strand Palace in 1994. I remember it as a nice place, not spectacular. It's central to a lot of tourist attractions (right on the Strand, which makes it walking distance to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, and one of the train stations -- Charing Cross, IIRC).

I'm not familiar enough with the area to know how far the Strand is from Brentford. But I'm sure you aren't right around the corner.

We were able to get a good deal by booking an air-and-room package through British Airways, so you may want to check and see if they still offer that sort of thing. And if the SP isn't your thing, they offered many other hotel options, too.

Thanks, Fred! Good to know!

Hi vroomvroom and [memfault] KristinT's friend!!!

The worst was one in which Puck was portrayed as a smart-ass executive assistant to Oberon. He was on his cell phone throughout the play.

OY.

Although the title is entirely incorrect. Daniel Radcliffe is not a Harry Potter character. Derr.

You know what is UNFAIR?

Waking up feeling hungover without having a SINGLE DROP of booze.
