Looks like civilization finally caught up with us.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mostly lurking...

It might be worth it to keep a small chunk in the BOA savings for easy access?

That's what I do.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Right now, I'm unemployed. And not panicking. It is such an amazing relief to have cleared my debts and put aside a cushion.

Bear in mind, I don't want to spend the damned cushion--I like having it there--it lets me think about a new car (which I don't need) and a house (oh, god, please).

But being able to breathe while I look for jobs, and knowing I can breathe for a little while more? So entirely worth it.

Gah, DH just called to tell me that he has a company benefit that would allow us to purchase a new car from Ford for just $500 over invoice.

We don't need a new car.

Why tell me?

and a house

Which I read as horse. (ita's getting a pony!) Sheesh.

This is a great conversation. I'm marking the reading recs like a mad thing. Carry on!

Also, Laura, the pictures are great! What a handsome kid. But we knew that.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Cool! I feel smart.

Okay, now this whole $3/3-day thing just to get my own money is annoying. Boo.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Is it a use once and use it by a specific date, Suzi? Or something he can do anytime, so you can wait to use it when you need it.

Ann, that's a ferret.

P-C, at least enough to avoid a monthly fee.

Oh, and there's a real bank called Emigrant Bank.

He said something about wanting to tell me so that "if we need something in the next couple of years"....meaning something for K-Bug...but still...we are scraping by NOW....can't add a new car payment without a miracle.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

$3/3-day thing just to get my own money is annoying.

That is because, my friend, Bank of America sucks.

There is a lag between transferring, yes. But we don't pay any money to transfer between our checking and saving. We couldn't be juggling - and using- 4 different ING accounts if we were charged for any transactions.
