See, in my fantasy, when I'm kissing you... you're kissing me. It's okay. I can wait.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

In other news, I've been given a new job responsibility because I knocked my last assignment out of the park (doing stuff for the Dean tends to put tasks into higher visibility.) Um, yay? Or, you know, NSM. I don't know. Will have to reassess later. Or not.

I'm just glad they didn't yell at me about my internet useage.

Librarian on Pacific Time

Want me to rough some peeps up? They sound like they work for my uni.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I will have to get some Oktoberfest though. Is it a lager or ale?

Lager, but it's pretty full flavored - I like it. It's on at both Canal Street and Salem that I know of (Salem will be getting this year's Handsome Devil on tap starting Sept. 1).

I do enjoy self medicating with beer every once in a while. Check that. Every night.

They don't work for your university... they're all firm librarians so I wouldn't recommend roughing them up (too many lawyers).

Your Dean knows your name? ::boggles:: My Dean and I live on the same block, pass each other on the street/in the hall all the time, my picture hangs outside his office... and yet I doubt he knows my name.

Canal Street being only a slight detour on my way to the train home has proven to be a useful if sometimes dangerous thing. I'm just glad the Salem location is way off the direct path or I'd never get home.

nah, the Dean doesn't but his assistant does. I don't think he does. Although apparantly my manager was reading a funny email I wrote to him and some other director, while they were on the road.

No, I just handled some running around on a dean-level donation and so there were lots of eyes on me. Since I didn't FUBAR it, now I'm like a genius or something.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

With the constant pain I've been having (back as well as tooth) I can't eat, drink, sit down, or stand up without pain... and I am starting to lose it.

Oh, lordy, I'm sorry. I hope the massage helps. Back pain just bleeds into everything you try to do. So very much of the suck.

Dean doesn't but his assistant does.

Probably where the power lies anyway.

Dean: Who's that supercompetent one who helped us out last time?

Assistant: Nora Dierdre. Sign this, and this, and this and we'll get her on the next project.

Thank you! Everything's sinking in now (and everyone at the office knows what's happening). People who I could swear I've never met are sending me "it's been great working with you" emails. Which beats, "About time, beeotch!" But still.
