Whatever happened to the still beating heart of a virgin? No one has any standards anymore.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Tom is home nursing a proto cold because we have a wedding this weekend and he CANNOT BE SICK. And neither can I. It's the wedding of one of my oldest and bestest friends. It's relatively near by (in CT), and should be a lot of fun.

Hil, have you tried Zappos? Along the right-side frame they have a link that allows you to search for "Vegetarian Shoes" and they carry small sizes. Signed, Size 4/4.5

Ok, so saw Sweet Charity.

I liked it. LOVED the costumes and especially the dance sequence at Club Pompeii. I don't know if they used Fosse Fosse Fosse's choreography, but whatever it was, it was just fantastic. Molly's dancing was a bit stiff. I could see that she was concentrating REALLY HARD on all of her dance moves and she would sometimes seem so into her concentration, that she wasn't having fun, which is the whole point to making it look good. She was definitely outdanced, especially in "There's Gotta Be Something Better Than This" where Nickie and whatshername just stood out. And she seemed uncomfortable during "If My Friends Could See Me Now". Maybe it was because it was a Thursday night, but she was really low energy. I wonder how she made it through Cabaret. I can't see her doing smoldering and aloof. And the dancing in Cabaret is a huge part of the show.

Vitorio and Ursula kind of chewed up the scenery, but Charity in the closet was funny as hell.

Oscar in the elevator was funny. REALLY funny. Our Oscar was great.

I didn't like the "I'm a Brass Band" number. But then, it was a very typical 60's musical sequence. Dance dance dance - star comes in and sings stuff - dance dance dance - star comes out and sings a bit and then poses. Song over.

And at the end, when Oscar came out for his curtain call, I booed him. Rat bastard. Hmmmph.

But, all in all, I really liked the show and need to Netflix the Shirley McClaine movie.
