Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

It is sooooooooooooo tempting to just let it bug you...
Oooh! I know! Say, "Danica is the queen of me" sixteen times!
Oh, I can live with my typo if that is the price, believe me.

STOP WITH THE HEADACHES!
My brain is listening to you as well right now. Bless its misfiring little synapses...

I need milk and firelogs. But I am too comfy to go out and fetch them. Especially as they really require two different stores. Also a food coma sounds nice.

Mostly lurking...

Also a food coma sounds nice.

It was accompanied with two very nice glasses of wine. Really, a perfect evening.

I read an article recently that reported that some people with cluster headaches were getting relief from LSD and magic mushrooms. At least one neurologist apparently thinks it's "a reasonable thing to consider".
I hate feeling loopy, and *I* think it's a reasonable thing to consider too.

Sounds like a perfect evening, vw.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

If I were having pain like cluster headaches were described as being, I'd think hallucinogens were totally reasonable too. (Didn't mean to imply otherwise. I forget everyone here doesn't know me. In fact, no one does. Which you'd think I'd remember.)

sj, that's wonderful! When are you going?

I didn't think you did at all. It's just with the headaches I have had in the past week? Medically induced comas sound like they might even be reasonable. *I* am just amazed at what sounds like it might be reasonable to me these days. LSD? Sure. Why not...

Yay for your trip, sj!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

It just baffles me that so many people can have such debilitating pain for so long, and medical research can't find anything to help it, or what causes it. Dealing with chronic pain is a hot button of mine; I only have relatively minor back pain, but I spent years caring for someone with chronic severe pain, banging my head against the stone wall of physicians who wouldn't prescribe a decent painkiller... well, anyway. I just think medical researchers and doctors should be working harder and looking at more options to eliminate chronic pain, not just manage it.

edit to correct the spelling oops

End of October to the beginning of November, so that I can see the kids on Halloween and T for her birthday. I didn't realize how badly I needed to book this trip until I was on the phone with T and the elder nephew telling them I booked the trip and found myself fighting back tears. I think we already have every second of the trip planned. It should be so much fun.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Getting through it and feeling better ~ma to all the Bitches who are in pain this weekend.

Daniel and I just got back from a weekend at his Mom's, which involved not nearly enough sleep for the amount of driving we did. (Which was by no means the most driving we've done together, but there was very. Little. Sleep.) The motel we stayed at theoretically offered high speed internet access. In practice, it was neither high speed nor especially accessible.
