All this medication talk has reminded me that I haven't taken anything for this headache yet today. Stupid me.
Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Oh, my. I MISS Percocet. Not as much as I miss Valium, but I'm missing my Perc right now (I fucked up my back this weekend). I only have Vicodin, and that makes me puke.
He's not resistant to meds, per se, but he gets frustrated when they don't help as much as he'd like, and that leads to jackassery like randomly discontinuing his meds. He's aware that the proper meds, in the proper doses, are incredibly helpful -- he just wants his shrink to find the right meds to BE helpful. And I totally get that. But still.
Yeah, it is hard and frustrating. We're dealing with that now. It's easier to be the support person WRT to commiserating that it's a PITA process, than be the caretaker when there's a chemical breakdown, that's for sure.
It's hard. And then there are all the issues with side effects... what is acceptable to be more brain-functional and what is not? (rhetorical question... also more in the meme perspective, as TW and I just had a discussion regarding this stuff last night)
But he cares about you, and I think all he needs is the awareness of the impact on you, and he will respect that.
I spent about 5 full minutes on the couch just muttering over and over, "I can't DO this. I CANNOT fucking DO this."
Steph, I have had moments of doing exactly this, more than once in trying to care for S. I know exactly how you felt in this moment.
It's okay. We're just human.
Matilda's got her A's hat on, I've got the boppy and we're gonna watch the A's play the Twins.
Want picture of Hec and baby.
I'm stuck at work with no radio reception and will be following gameday.
Does anyone have any blowdryer recs?
(I have to to ask again, since my blowdryer is now officially ded.)
Lee, I have a Conair 1600, which is a couple of years old and is still working perfectly. It's small enough to pack if you have to, but not too small.
Of course, since it is a couple of years old, I don't know if it's available anymore...
Lee, I bought a cheap hairdryer at Target like 10 years ago. I couldn't tell you what brand, since it's now worn off the side, but I know it was less than $20.
The A's hat is working! We've scored 2 on Santana!
