Do I wish I was somebody else right now. Somebody not... married, not madly in love with a beautiful woman who can kill me with her pinkie!

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, for JZ and Matilda being home!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Incidentally, we already got one of the decorate-your-onesies from the baby shower in the mail.

I think it was from Beth and Matt, as it had a Fremont address.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Yay on settling in at home for Team Zmayhem.

Olivia turns 8 months tomorrow. She's been pulling herself up into a standing position all by herself all evening. Crap. I'm in trouble.

Goth pixie sounds adorable.

Goes without saying. Matching goth pixies, adorable overload.

A couple of friends brought their kids over so we could all go to the Fall Festival at one of the metro parks today. We got there around 11 and nobody was there. Walked around on the trails for a while and played on the playground. When I got home I checked the website. The festival didn't start until noon. D'OH!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

All best thoughts to your friend, Windsparrow.

Yay for homecoming Zmayhem!

Now I want Magic Shell.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Waves to Buffistas.

We are back in Sacramento. Mom is on some good pain meds and was pretty darned out of it while we were at the hospital today. Things are going slowly - just frustrating. It feels as though we are going backwards. She was more alert and mobile on Tuesday and Wednesday than she was today.

K-Bug and I did a bit of retail therapy...nothing really exciting, but it was nice just wandering around together.

Mostly lurking...

I should comment on stuff. I did read. Hugs and ~ma all around.

I had SO much fun today. Breakfast with Chicago~istas. Beautiful outdoor wedding. Fabulous reception. Saw some people I haven't seen in four years. Drank more than I should have, but there was no appearance of my Southern identity. Danced SO MUCH. Fun. Mucho fun.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

And I'm just home as well from one of the nicest days I've had in a long time.

After brunch, Sail and ChiKat and I hit Lush and assorted other shops, including a "chocolate lounge." Then we headed up to my 'hood for a little mani-pedi action. We had to wait a while, but made it to the neat little tea shop down the street just before torrential rains started up. Which had cleared by the time we headed back.

The salon by my house is neat - the chairs for the pedi are massage chairs. And cheap, too!

I had to head off to work for a bit, but it was fairly quick and painless. Home in time for a brief nap, and then met up again with C and S and tommyrot for a marvelous tapas dinner, and then a very entertaining improv show.

Now they're on the road back to ChiKat's, I'm on the couch all begronked and relaxed, and looking forward to a lazy day tomorrow.
