Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mwahahahahahaa....

Thank god I'm drunk. It's perhaps best not to ask. Some days, I'd just like to take a tazer to the lot of them.

I read an article the other day wherein a teacher says she doesn't believe in giving F's, that it's a sign that a teacher has just given up. And it really made me think, you know? It made me think, mostly, fuck you and the horse you rode in on, bitch.

But perhaps in slightly more polite terms, with longer sentences that refer to environment, class size, economics, and school culture. Also, how involved the probation officers get.

(In my more sober moments, I don't really think anything quite that rude. I absolutely and totally know where she's coming from -- given a situation where you can implement the things necessary to really work with students to raise grades. As I'm totally tipsy, I go for the more vulgar expression which briefly encapsulates my frustration with the situation and my near despair at the fate of students who have enormous potential and so little actual ambition. Because of my alcohol-influenced tersity, of course.)

According to AcrossTheHall!Teacher, we're going furniture shopping this weekend (I guess she doesn't approve of my current setup of sleeping on a futon which puts me about an inch off the ground). Also, seating plans, lesson plans, text selection for reading assessment, figuring out how to deal with the district pacing guide, and railing against the unfairness of the current educational system. Petting zoo sounds fun! When?

We can go anytime-- maybe next next weekend. Furniture shopping is important!

Remember that I have a full size bed frame if you want it.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.
