I've done the long posts without the cut, before. Usually, once I check out whether it posted properly or not I'll say, wow, if I leave that up there everyone will scroll past because they're afraid of being bored to death. Then, I put it behind a cut tag because that makes it much more mysterious and people are liable to pop in to actually read it. Kind of like the naked lady versus the scantily clad.
Sending sleep~ma to JZ and good-labor~ma once she's awake.
Heh. I do much the same thing, Sail. Sometimes it's hard to tell how long something's going to be until it's actually posted. The posting window isn't all that good of a guide.
Pffft. Just sent my dad my critical response. He thinks it needs a conclusion. Pffft, I say.
"In conclusion, Bartelby sucked."
Next...?
In the spirit of the day, have we all seen this? [link]
vw, if I were you, and I'm not, I would try giving myself permission to pass it in as is. Sometimes, it's more important for me to finish than to perfect. Well, it isn't at all, but that's my (me-pointed) point. There's so much I don't do, or almost don't do, because I want it to be perfect, but don't have the time-energy-patience-whatever to perfect it. I am a procrastinating perfectionist who gets overwhelmed, because I feel like everything I do could be better, and then I don't have it in me to do these things. I'm really trying to work the good-enough model. And when I do work it, life is better.
Yeah, well, it just might get turned in that way, because I have to get in the shower if I'm gonna catch my bus.
Oh, well. Got more done this morning than I thought I would. That's something, right?
Oh, poor JZ. Long labors are so hard. I fully expected to come in this morning to news of the Zbaby. Sending cooperation~ma to the little one, and ease~ma to JZ.
ION, Bartleby is the only Melville I actually enjoyed.
Frosted Flakes:
Hey, look at that! Come on out, Zbaby! Go, JZ!
