'Safe'

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I couldn't pee in late labor with Eve. It was kind of a problem, actually. Then I peed ALL OVER the midwife while she was sewing me up. I was like, "sorry!" and she was all, "seen worse."

Fingertip dilated only suggests a long night ahead for the Zmayhems, though. I was a fast laborer, and was 7cm when we got to the hospital with Eve, and more like 9 with Peter.

Trust my rage

I had to get a cath 14+ hours after the baby. I was almost crying I had to pee so bad but I just couldn't go. So weird!

What is even happening?

Yay, Zmaybaby!!!!!

Every time I see a variation on this, I think I missed the announcement in Beep Me.

flea, it sounds like we had the same problem. I couldn't pee while in labor either.

I'm hoping for a fast (but not so fast that it hurts too much) labor and safe arrival for the Septembereenie!

Afterwards, of course, I peed if you even got me in the vicinity of a toilet for weeks.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Me, too! With Liv. I begged them to cath me. You know what eventually worked with me, though? Lavender oil. The nurse put a few drops in the water and it made me go. Talk about weird.

Must now go pick up husband at train station. Hopefully the Zmaybaby will not be born while I'm gone.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

It's really common not to be able to pee after delivery. You're all swollen! And sometimes the swelling blocks off the urethra and makes it impossible to pee. A one-time catheterization usually solves the problem.

If a c-section is happening, an indwelling Foley catheter is placed before the surgery, and it stays in for 24 hours after delivery.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Every time I see a variation on this, I think I missed the announcement in Beep Me.

Naw. I've just been busy and haven't been on b.org all day and just saw the labor announcement.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Every time I see a variation on this, I think I missed the announcement in Beep Me.

Naw. I've just been busy and haven't been on b.org all day and just saw the labor announcement.

And, remember? When we knew that Plei was in labor, we kept posting "TICKYBOX!!!" all day long?

This is in that vein: ZMAYBABY!!! ZMAYBABY!!!
