Me, too! With Liv. I begged them to cath me. You know what eventually worked with me, though? Lavender oil. The nurse put a few drops in the water and it made me go. Talk about weird.

It's really common not to be able to pee after delivery. You're all swollen! And sometimes the swelling blocks off the urethra and makes it impossible to pee. A one-time catheterization usually solves the problem.

If a c-section is happening, an indwelling Foley catheter is placed before the surgery, and it stays in for 24 hours after delivery.

Did anyone watch the premiere of Brothers and Sister the other night? I though it was pretty good, but I was especially amused when they used the word asshat.
