move out and draw fire

good news is that August is almost over

And not a moment too soon. Cheney's left nut sack is too good for it.

May was good, wasn't it? And September will be nice, and October will be splendiferous.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

August is almost over.

Someone please tell that to the AC in my building. Come on, be brave! No need to die now! It's not that much longer until fall! only, like, another month and a half!

Yay for Hec! And good neighbors for Emily.

Massive headache this morning. Hoping it goes away soon so I can get back to the Cambridge apartment to do more stuff.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Headache~ma to ya wv.

My manager just told me that the folks I applied to are calling around to my references (of which he is one). Yay! I guess. Well, as long as my manager keeps to such homegrown truths as, "Drinks like a fish and no regard for human life. But her code is flawless."

Always Anti-fascist!

OMG, Mariska won again?! God, all the dead actresses littering NY and LA...fuckin' tragic. But they wouldn't care on the news cause none of 'em are named Jon Benet. I don't deny that she's beautiful...I'd give my left tit to look like that, but when is that talent?(obligatory Hargitay snark) Hec, your post made me rather envious. Although I have no business teaching math, unfortunately. Gris, man, you are me. Except possibly a better girl. But fill in Homicide for the Gilmores(Whom I also like) and we are as one...Wu and Sweargin.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Drinks like a fish and no regard for human life.

Yay, Calli. Also, there are some work environments in which this statement, particularly the latter portion, would be a definite plus.

Good luck, Calli! That's good news!

Oh, I was too tired yesterday to bitch about the Cambridge landlord. I got to the apartment to take care of some things yesterday, and he had the hallway/stairs completely blocked off while he worked on something in the second floor apartment. And, of course, I had my hands full carrying empty boxes that I was gonna use to pack up stuff to ship.

I am really starting to think that they think we're just gonna leave stuff undone. He certainly wasn't expecting anyone to come by yesterday. And their behavior makes me wonder if they think we're just gonna screw them over and leave a whole bunch of shit behind and not clean. Which pisses me off on a whole new level. As my therapist pointed out last week, I have a high sense of responsibility, so this just feels like a punch in the gut on top of the rudeness and inconsiderateness of it all.

Four more days...four more days...

Also, did I mention that they ruined and lost some of our stuff? There are drips of paint and bleach on some of the furniture and spackle specks on the xBox. I took pictures of all that stuff yesterday. I need to find out what legal recourse I have to the way they've handled things over the last month. Right now I'm just documenting everything with hopes to send them a nasty letter (ccing the rent board or a lawyer) demanding some of our August rent back for their illegal behavior.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Go, vw! Those particular landlords have been very crappy considering you've lived there seven (?) years. They should know you by now and the fact they have never shown you any respect needs to be dealt with in a way that makes them HURT. They need a good smiting, of the bank account.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hell yeah. Especially since they really had no legal right to be in there in the first place, as far as I'm aware. None of that stuff constitutes an emergency, so they should have no right of access without explicit permission until 12:00 am on Friday.
