Juliana, I found Fernet up here! It is indeed all that!

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
A quick meara before crashing for the night:
Have fun at the game, Hec. What grade is Emmett going to be in this year?
5th grade. It's his last year of elementary school
That’s what I thought. Same as my older nephew, who started school a couple of weeks ago, and, so far, loves his new school.
{{{vw}}} Moving is hard and stressful, but it is almost over and you’ll have friends helping you soon.
Laura, that’s a great door and you do look so much like your mom.
PMS is enough of a reason to have ice cream with chocolate chips and chocolate sauce for dinner, right? One needs a reason to have ice cream for dinner?
Em and Joe "built" Serenity
OMG, so cute!
Hec is an utterly sterling human being and has gone to drive Emily to Bed Bath & Beyond and Trader Joe's. She called looking for assistance in tracking down a shower curtain, and sounded all sorts of wiped out and overwhelmed with the move and unpacking and the school year starting tomorrow morning, so now she's getting a chauffeur for household goods and treatful foods. She has a cat and everything, but Hec doesn't care.
Yay, Hec! That is so sweet of you.
Emily, best of luck with your first day of school tomorrow!
Hugs and ~ma to anyone who I may have missed. Must go to bed now because Teacup Guy is trying to sleep and the computer at the beach house is in the same room as our bed.
I have a meeting tomorrow about a possible design gig and they actually want to see a resume. I just updated it. I'd not touched the damned thing since January.
Not even sure if I really want the gig. It's kinda high profile, but they are calling awfully late in the process. It for the Griffith Observatory.
Hmmmm...
Back from talking Emily into buying a brightly colored floor lamp and the designer shower curtain hooks (color is good!), and loading her up on Trader Joe Instant Meals, which is about all I think she's going to be able to handle this week.
The woman who interviewed her for the job, P., lives down the hall! So she's got an instant neighbor who is helpful and nice (she reminded me of Scrappy, actually) and offering to make coffee for her in the morning.
Her apartment is a very simple one room place - but she might move to the nicer one-room next door (with windows that get fresh air). The key thing is that it is very centrally located, around the corner from where Fay got her hair cut in SF, and a couple blocks from Ti Couz where many of us have gotten food. She's literally five minutes from 16th and Valencia, which is one of my favorite neighborhoods in the city. She can walk to the Pirate store from there.
Bastet was lolling about on vw's quilt and seemed completely at ease in her new surroundings.
Note to self: when TV comes up in a flirty getting-to-know-you-conversation, feel free to touch on it, but try not to let it do that thing it sometimes does where it completely overpowers your thoughts for a short amount of time, making you seem slightly obsessive.
Not everybody NEEDS to know, immediately, that you have put as many hours of thought into the Gilmore Girls as, say, your wardrobe, own more TV dvds than socks, and can casually quote Buffy, then name the season, the character, and other things that happen in the episode, if not the episode's name and number.
Awww. I must one day venture to this magical land that is San Fran-CIS-co
Awww. I must one day venture to this magical land that is San Fran-CIS-co.
I predict...within the year.

You know if you put an indefinite article before "TV" you get a very different story here.
Watching the season finale of the office, and it's making me sad. That's not supposed to happen with a comedy, right?
Apparently over in this corner, my computer can see some wireless networks. Attempted to set up printer so I could draw up a getting-to-know-you activity for tomorrow, but was trumped by my lack of scissors. Then decided I would clean up a bit and make sure I had my stuff together, but was too headachey to think straight. Took a hot shower to get rid of headache, ran out of hot water (this is quite mysterious, as I have a water heater in my kitchen). Think I'll attempt sleep now. Tomorrow remains scary. Night!
Good luck tomorrow, Emily!
