Wesley: Hey. Hey, Gunn. Is something weird going on? … Charles, you just peed on my shoes. Gunn: I'll be damned. That's weird.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

But there's a song! "These are the Daves I know I know, these are the Daves I know..." Which I can't remember who sings.

Kids in the Hall (sung by Bruce, not Dave) [link]

Because books.

Yay for Fay's safety!

Much dental~ma, Nora. I know how you feel about the dentist.

I'm just Amy, but I added the Liz (shortened middle name) here because of the many Amy/Aimees. (We should totally take over, you know.)

I've been awake since 4:45.

Oh. My. God. I would be dead by ... well, now, if I was up then.

Sara sounds like a mini Brenda Vaccaro. And she coughed so hard last night she made herself throw up, poor baby. The snot monster is in residence here, if anyone's looking for him.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

D'oh! I knew it was Canadian, but that didn't even occur to me.

move out and draw fire

I'm half expecting Raq to pop in here, too, according to my international clock.

Ha! I was here 2 hours before you. Then I went to lunch.

Also, I was at university with the current Maximilian Von Hapsburg. Whose chosen area of study was...the Hapsburg empire. And yes, he did have The Chin. How his tutors had the nerve to mark his essays I really don't know...I mean, dude, it's his great uncle whojamaflip. How you going to argue with that kind of citation?)

When I taught high school English I had a member of the Kuwaiti royal family in my class. She'd been evacuated with her family when Iraq invaded. Her uncle had stayed behind to put up a defense and was killed. Her take on things like Shakespeare was always interesting - you don't usually get the opinion of a royal on how royals are presented.

brillig

it's his great uncle whojamaflip

Known to lesser mortal as his His Highness, Archduke Ferdinand of Bavaria, or something like that. "Hey, Whojamaflip!"

Heh. That would be some interesting insight.

Got up WAY TOO EARLY, even for me. But that is cause I'm skeeving off work at noon today, so I came in early. I guess since I'll still get my hours in, it isn't official skeeving, but still - leaving work when everyone else is heading to lunch - yayayayayay!

Good news: The couch is gone! YAY!

Bad news: I suck.

I'm getting the pig!

Vibing hard for Nora and very glad Fay is as safe as can be.

Paging Cass! Paging Cass! A friend with too much money and 2 year old twin boys wants to fly to Portland to visit with family but can't handle the boys by herself. Her DH is too busy to travel until next year. So, get this - she just asked me if I'd fly with her to Portland and back to help her with the boys on the plane and then I'd be totally free to do whatever I wanted in between. And she'll pay for my plane ticket!!! Will you be around October 12-16th?

YAY for the couch being gone, vw! And you DO NOT suck.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Ok, I just woke up from a weird dream in which I was spending a weekend attending a series of family picnics with Sunil. First I was helping other women, some of whom were blonde, with the cooking. Then I was sitting outside reading Bitches on my laptop and thinking, "Gee I shouldn't spend too long on here, or they will think I'm not interested in people, the way they think of Sunil. Wait, maybe I should stay online for awhile because they seem to like me, and it might show them it's ok for Sunil to be online as much as he likes." Then I was wrangling cats. For some reason I had brought two of my cats with me for the weekend - not Sammie and Harvey, but Pachisi, who died before Harvey was born, and Suzie, who was with me when I was a kid. In the dream, Pachisi had been with me all the time, and Suzie I had just found when I was driving past someplace I used to live on the way to the picnic. As the cats were just now meeting for the first time, there was some tension between them, and they kept trying to get away from each other. I kept trying to keep them together because I was so happy to have Suzie back after I thought she had been lost for so long. But eventually I had to take them home on separate trips.

I wonder why I thought people would think I was weird for using my laptop while at a picnic, but I didn't worry what they thought when I was making such a fuss over the cats.

Trying to picture Nicole with 2 year old twin boys on a plane.

Nope.

But glad (and a tad jealous) that it will lead to more buffista F2F'ing.
