Bunch of wanna blessed-bes. Nowadays every girl with a henna tattoo and a spice rack thinks she's a sister to the dark ones.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Cass, healthma for your sister and the little ones. I hope they can cook up a bit more but it sounds like they may be at a safe point.

Indy (my drag name)

How much do I love this? Lots.

What is even happening?

Cindy, you are Cindy.

Some Bronzers (at least one or two of ones that have known me the longest and met me in person) still call me Xanderella, and think of me as Xanderella. You are mostly Sunil, but sometimes P-C. In lj, I have to remind myself you have another name.

mid-November. She's at 32 weeks now. And they are each just over 4 pounds. Frankly, she needs to keep baking them.

Twins do tend to come early, but I hope she keeps baking them as long as she can, and at least another 4 weeks.

Fwiw, my dad and his twin were each two pounds and change at birth. They were born at home, and kept in the old brick oven in the house, as a makeshift incubator, and grew up to be six footers.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

For twins, that's great! I mean, of course they're going to stay put and keep cooking (imagine me here looking sternly at the belly housing them), but they're developing well right now and probably wouldn't have any significant problems if she delivered them soon-ish. Which she won't. Because they're going to behave themselves, darn it.
Aww, my dopplenamer! Hi, Jen!

Yeah, they are doing well. I just want the whole lung and other internals to be fully cooked before she delivers. They are going to behave and keep braising in utero. Because I am a good aunt and my newest neice and nephew should listen to me. And Hello Nurse Jen.

What is even happening?

Jen! Hi hi hi.

I am a good aunt and my newest neice and nephew should listen to me.

That's right.

I was so not cut out to work with other humans.

I feel your pain, JZ. I get like that, with projects for which I have volunteered. At church. With friends (like real--I'll bring ice cream over because your day sucked out loud, and shut up, don't give me money, and I'm bringing hot fudge too--friends) from my church, who are smart, work hard, and are nice, and not jerks. Each time I volunteer for a project, I hate everyone by the end of it, and I know it's me.

Problem with my real name is that it's so common and already taken by another poster with a lot more time than I have. Hence my deference. Plus, I got used to using this one as a bronzer so it was just easier for me to use this everywhere.

Cashmere, as much as I think of you by your first name, I think if you, tiggy, or Narrator abandoned your board names, I would cry. For reals.

That said, I answer to meara, Indy (my drag name) or my real name.

Oh! You're so meara to me, that even though I know your real name (which I think is pretty) I didn't even *think* to include you in that initial post. And? I don't believe the people when they say shrift's parents didn't name her shrift (ditto Madrigal).

I go by my real name here, but an entirely different name on LJ (I want to keep at least a thin layer of anonymity over there, since that's where I post fic and do other fannish things). What's funny is that most of my anime fandom friends will call me by that name, and I'm all "who the hell are you talking about?... oh."

Your LJ name always throws me, Anne, because there is another Buffista who uses the first name as her Buffista board name and her LJ name, although it's not her real life first name, either. That name (your LJ name and her board name and lj name) is the name I think of her as, so when I see your journal, I have to stop and think twice.

How much do I love this? Lots.

Heh. Granted, I get referred to as "Indy" a lot less than many of the other drag kings get referred to by their drag names...

And meara IS my real name to me. It's one I chose. It's one I feel fits me better (my birth name may mean "pretty", but meara means "mirth"!)

meara - Sep 20, 2006 3:27:30 pm PDT #3994 of 10000

Heh. Though I just remembered that when I hooked up with Toronto during the big drag weekend in May, we exchanged phone/email on Sunday afternoon, and I wrote "[realname]/Indy". And apparently, Toronto hadn't heard it anywhere, and I hadn't actually introduced myself as anything other than "Indy". So on the roadtrip home, at one point she randomly said to her friends "Did you know Indy's real name is [mispronouncing my real name badly]??" And so when we talked on the phone a couple weeks later, she was like "Oh, is THAT how you pronounce it?!?".

Which is whatever, when it's a buffista who's only seen it in email. But when it's someone you've been making out with? Hee! Funnier and more embarassing.

OTOH, there have been people I've made out with who probably don't know ANY name for me, so....:P

Mostly lurking...

I now answer to vw, v-dub, bug, Ms. Bug, and several other versions. I kinda like it.

In college (my second attempt), I started going by my middle name. I never answered to it. People would say it, and I'd be all, "Who's that?"

Oh! It was the neicelet's birthday yesterday. We've been texting. Love. Her.

And? I don't believe the people when they say shrift's parents didn't name her shrift (ditto Madrigal).
This as well. Madrigal is Madrigal. I suspect when I meet shrift, she will never be anything other than shrift to me. meara is meara though she answers to That Other Name as well.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Heh. I get thrown by the same thing, Cindy. I've seriously been considering creating a new personal journal and making the other one fandom and fic-only. At the same time, it seems like too much bother.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Is it too early to go to bed (even if I am still at work)?
