Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Is it too early to go to bed (even if I am still at work)?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

"Oh, is THAT how you pronounce it?!?"
Nephlet, when he was wee-er, used to call me Aunty Jen. Except he pronouced it Antigen every time.

I felt powerful.

Like I should give him a science lesson.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Woot! Finally (sorta) finished finishing the finished work the other person did for me as a special super-helpful favor (except for the stuff I told her the doctor needed to review, which for some reason she's returned to me so I need to hunt him down, but no way am I doing that now), and so at last homeward, where I plan to drink my weight in root beer and topple into bed.

How long until you get to leave? Because I am thinking nap in a cupboard could work if you can't go home and be comatose.

Only 25 minutes, so not long enough for a nap.

Oh well. I think tonight is going to be spent curled up in bed.

That how I'm spending my night! (Well, on the couch, anyway, watching the game.) I had a colposcopy and biopsy today, which actually didn't hurt at the time (I was shocked that it didn't--I was totally prepared for agony) but which is kind of crampy-making now.

That definitely seems to call for a curled up in bed night, Jen. I'm glad it's not that painful.

What is even happening?

Oh, Jen. I'd say, "Throw in a little rectal surgery, and it's your best day, ever," but they sorta did. I hope the after effects subside soon, and that everything looks good.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

And the sis plus twins seem to be fine.

Yeah! But continuing ~ma anyway. Also, Cass, it looks like I'm going to be in Portland in late October. Do we have multiple Portlandistas now? Perhaps we could connect? I have to run now, but I'll check back, and maybe touch base in F2F.
