Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'm completely embarrassed to admit that despite having met and hung out with Cass several times, and harboring an un-secret desire to set her up with my Portland brother because both he and she are made of awesome, I cannot for the life of me remember her RL name. Cass is just such a damn perfect name, and Cass herself is so full of Cassitude.
Bleah. I feel like a big ungrateful cow... while I was out on bedrest, someone from another division transcribed a month's worth of letters for a doctor I usually work for, who has joint appointments in two divisions. It was very helpful of her to do the transcription, and obviously it saved me a lot of work, but I couldn't manage to choke out more than a very small "Thank you" because she has completely ballsed up the processing of all the letters.
She transcribed them a while ago but didn't actually print them up until this afternoon, at which point I'd been back at work almost a week, then dropped the "finished" letters in my lap almost an hour ago. I'm not quite done actually finishing them. Grrr. If she'd just printed them and handed them to me for processing -- or, better yet, emailed me the files and let me do all the printing -- or, at the very least, ASKED ME WHAT THE DISTRIBUTION PROCESS IS BEFORE HARING OFF ON HER OWN -- I could've done it myself, properly, in about half the time.
As it is, I've wasted almost an hour undoing a bunch of shit she did and redoing a bunch of other shit that she completely ignored (most of it stuff she wouldn't have known about without asking, but some of which she could have figured out on her own if she'd, say, actually
looked
at the files she was working from). And now I feel like a fat snarly cunt dripping with ingratitude.
I was so not cut out to work with other humans.
eta: Forgot to add, Cass, vibing for your sister and the twins.
I have trouble with people for whom a board name is just a board name, because I sometimes use it. If it works as a nick as well? Then I can play it off more easily.
Heh. Cindy's bit--I seriously had to pause and go "Wait, Cashmere's not her real name? Do I know her real name? Shit...oh, right, that's it". I never ever think of her as anything but Cashmere. Or maybe Cash. Likewise Cass...
It's very disconcerting to me the people I know like, say, Vortex--she's Vortex here, something completely different on LJ, and then I've known her in person for years by a whole other name. Madness!
That said, I answer to meara, Indy (my drag name) or my real name.
Do they get hazard pay though? Cause she can be ten different kinds of evil...
Ooooh! List 'em! List 'em!
I go by my real name here, but an entirely different name on LJ (I want to keep at least a thin layer of anonymity over there, since that's where I post fic and do other fannish things). What's funny is that most of my anime fandom friends will call me by that name, and I'm all "who the hell are you talking about?... oh."
She's at 32 weeks now. And they are each just over 4 pounds.
For twins, that's great! I mean, of course they're going to stay put and keep cooking (imagine me here looking sternly at the belly housing them), but they're developing well right now and probably wouldn't have any significant problems if she delivered them soon-ish. Which she won't. Because they're going to behave themselves, darn it.
Problem with my real name is that it's so common and already taken by another poster
Right. There. With. You. x-post
That said, I answer to meara
Which is good because this is your name to me. I know the other one, use it sometimes, but it's just another name for you to me and not, you know, the REAL name...
I cannot for the life of me remember her RL name.
It's not Stephanie. Or Lisa. It's the other one.

Awww, I like that. Thank you.
And the sis plus twins seem to be fine. I don't know if she can make it to her due date, but everything is fine. She is pissed at being stuck in the hospital right now. And my sis pissed? It's not pretty.
Cass, healthma for your sister and the little ones. I hope they can cook up a bit more but it sounds like they may be at a safe point.
Indy (my drag name)
How much do I love this? Lots.
Cindy, you are Cindy.
Some Bronzers (at least one or two of ones that have known me the longest and met me in person) still call me Xanderella, and think of me as Xanderella. You are mostly Sunil, but sometimes P-C. In lj, I have to remind myself you have another name.
mid-November. She's at 32 weeks now. And they are each just over 4 pounds. Frankly, she needs to keep baking them.
Twins do tend to come early, but I hope she keeps baking them as long as she can, and at least another 4 weeks.
Fwiw, my dad and his twin were each two pounds and change at birth. They were born at home, and kept in the old brick oven in the house, as a makeshift incubator, and grew up to be six footers.
For twins, that's great! Aww, my dopplenamer! Hi, Jen!
Yeah, they are doing well. I just want the whole lung and other internals to be fully cooked before she delivers. They are going to behave and keep braising in utero. Because I am a good aunt and my newest neice and nephew should listen to me. And
Hello
Nurse Jen.
