Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mostly lurking...

Ok. Still fucking crying. I'm thinking it's time for the night meds and bed. This is ridiculous.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

So exhausted.

I cleaned out Em's closet and dresser, seperating all of her clothes into three piles. Clothes for Baby M, clothes for Baby B, and clothes to donate. I also bleached out some stained stuff and threw some unsaveable stuff out. Joe took the clothes to the DARE donation collector thing across the street. We also went through her toys and stuffed animals and donated some of those as well. Her room looks a lot better.

Next, I'll get some of those vacuum space saver bags and put all of the newborn bedding stuff into some bags.

I am so not in the mood to cook, so we'll be ordering take-out. Maybe I'll end Joe off for some Panda Express.

And naturally all of this was done while I was wearing a pink satin tiara headband.

Our wings are not tired

In theory I'm unpacking.

So far it is only a theory.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Will most of his current classmates be going to the same school, Hec?

Yep. His school district is 3 elementary, 1 middle and 1 high school. So all of his classmates go to the same middle school, plus a bunch of kids from he knows from baseball and summer camp that go to the other elementary schools.

The sixth graders are purposefully isolated in Middle school in their own wing and only really interact with the upper classmen during lunch. But still, it will be nice for him and Maggie to be in the same school. Among other things, that means I can do back to school night with his godparents.

Back from the Giants game where we won 8-0. Emmett's seen Matt Cain pitch twice this year without giving up a run. (The first was the Giants/A's game at the F2F in the Suzi Suite.) Cain ought to buy us tickets for all his starts.

Gorgeous day at the park. I hadn't been there in a while and forgot how nice it is to have a promenade. Makes the whole game experience so much nicer to be able to walk around in the sunshine (drinking a margarita) and watching the game or looking out on the bay.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Raq, those are great. I'll just have to figure out what sizes I want for Liv and O.

What is even happening?

Ben's going into fifth grade, but that's Middle School, in our town (it isn't in any of the surrounding towns, and I hate that it is, in our town).

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I just got into a bit of a row with our building's handyman, as they've been doing a lot of work on the apartment. Work that needs to be done, mind you, but it includes a lot of paintin, and I'm quite concerned about the effects of the fumes on S's health right now.

The handyman tried to say that the building inspector (who ordered these repairs) doesn't care about our problems. I told he can get me the damned phone number, and I'll make him care.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hi everyone.

Just got back from Maine. It was a fun trip -- lay on the beach and read The Thornbirds, went boogie-boarding, drooled over some surfboards that there's no way I can afford to buy, walked through a wildlife preserve and failed to see a single animal, went shopping, ate yummy food, went roller-blading, and generally relaxed. Also went kayaking and nearly hit a Coast Guard boat, but then a few minutes later, we were nearly hit by a Secret Service boat. (W was in K'port this weekend. Security was nuts -- way more than I remember from when his father was president.)
