Wow, you've really mastered the power of positive giving-up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I get that cost might be an issue, but surely some kind of bracelet (like the ones they put on parents/newborns in hospitals) would be smarter than locking everyone in the building.

or, you know, a security guard.

Well, here's the locked door law. [link]

Now to try to find the weird vacation/holiday thing. I have found a bunch of stuff on labor, but this particular thing never comes up.

Haven't quite worked up to that. Can I call and ask on behalf of a friend? Will they make me spill information?

I wouldn't think that you have to give them any information. Just call and ask if there is a law or regulation against requiring employees use vacation days on a holiday when they are required not to come to work.

eta: or, if you find me the number, I'll call.

the building is on lock-down, and no one, not even employees can get in or out.

There have been laws against that since the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire. Were these people raised by wolves?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yay! Not the only one who immediately went "TRIANGLE TRIANGLE TRIANGLE." My inner socio-economic history geek is vindicated. Okay, maybe it's not very inner.
