Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

made in Scotland from girders.

From steel I-beams used to build skyscrapers? I think that would cure life, much less a hangover.

I think I missed bt's birthday. That's what I get for only sticking to the slower moving threads on some days.

Happy Belated Birthday, billytea!!

Which is probably closer to two days late, considering the time difference.

I didn't have time to meara, either on paper or in my head very well, so I just offer blanket {{{{}}}} to thems as needs it. I did see that vw's mum was in the hospital and appears to be fine. That Suzi's mom is getting the correct treatment, now. I am, however, a little disappointed vw did not share her southern drunk with us at the F2F this year. ::pouts::

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

sj, I personally would have unleashed hell on the woman, but that's just me. Your way keeps you out of jail.

I didn't have time to. Although the thought of slashing her tires or keying the car did cross my mind. Sorry for all the meme first world problems last night.

Yay, for a flirting vw!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I'm a jerk. I lose at life. Bah.

Nora, why are you being so mean to a friend of mine?

I'm just at a point where I feel like it's all just Too Much and it manifests itself as general mental/social paralysis with all attendant failings in normal social niceties and behavior.

On the upside, my birthday is tomorrow and I am taking the day off.

On the downside, Saturday is a trip to CT, then Tom leaving for Milwaukee for a week, and a friend is moving into our spare room for an indeterminate amount of time. This last one is becoming exponentially more stressful all the time.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I feel like it's all just Too Much and it manifests itself as general mental/social paralysis with all attendant failings in normal social niceties and behavior.

Oooh! I know this one!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Tom leaving for Milwaukee

Matt will be there for a week and half starting the 21st.

a friend is moving into our spare room for an indeterminate amount of time.

That is very hard. and it is very generous of you to do such a thing. just lay down some ground rules - like it has to be quiet after x because you have school , etc and things will work out.

From one who has been in your friend's position, blessings on your head.

Compassionately intolerant

The driveway discussion is amping my stressometer and I don't even have a car!

The landlord, who runs the liquor store on the first floor is tremendously conflict averse (which really sucks for a guy who routinely pisses people off). As a result, neighbors, who don't pay my enormous rent feel entitled to park whenever they like...and then get on my case if I park a rental car or my fela parks there. It. Makes. Me. Mental.

Recently, someone parked behind my rental car. I finally called the cops. The perpetrator got a $300 ticket. I worked hard to care.
