What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Speaking of hoodies, Farscape fans may be interested in this one.

What is even happening?

I'll have to tell Orange ORANGE sister that (she just got back from her honeymoon).

That's that sister? Now she'll be Orange Orange Blossom in my head.

My head is a scary place today, I think because it's so congested. I'm pretty sure my allergies are acting up, but they're acting up badly enough I feel sick.

I have good news, though. It's not big-deal good news, but it's a bit of bureaucracy-behaves sort of good news. A coupleafew weeks ago, I posted her bemoaning the fact that I didn't have the title to the car I bought in 1991, which we want to give away. When we went to registry to get it, the didn't have a release of lien on file. I'd taken out (and paid off) the loan with bank 1 which got bought out by bank 2, which got out by bank three, and actually at this point, it's bank 5 in a line of buy-outs that I was going to have to deal with.

UPDATE: We called bank 5 at the time. They said they'd get it. They called me the next week, because for some reason, they had my husband's social security number affiliated with the car as well as mine, but they had both ss#s affiliated with my maiden name (because I bought the car three years before we were married). I mean, they actually called, rather than just chucking my request in the she's-not-a-customer-and-I-can't-figure-out-her-shit pile. I gave the bank what they wanted to know, and they actually sent me a release of lien letter, today.

Now, I still have to go the to RMV and apply for the title, but still. Also? The Bank of America (bank 5) people I dealt with were polite and FRIENDLY as well as efficient.

Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas, any more.

Nobody in your house would want cherry pie? (boggled) Why not? Cherry pie is my favorite pie.

Scott eats five things. Ben is close behind. Actually, Julia and Chris might try Cherry Pie these days. I don't know if any of them like apple pie, except for Chris. Julia likes blueberry. They did not get this from me. I'm all like, "It's pie. Unless it's shit pie, it's probably great."

Speaking of which, I had a blueberry scone for breakfast this morning, and they're more emotionally mature than you might think.

Wow. Congrats—I'm glad you're getting close to having everything straightened out!

I'm trying to think of a kind of pie I wouldn't eat. Nothing that anyone's likely to make (ie, no shit pie) is coming to mind.

Now that it's getting toward fall I'm going to have to make a brown sugar, granny smith apple pie. It's practically a hard-wired response to the leaves turning.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Cherry pie is my all-time favorite. ALL TIME. Mmm. Now I want pie.

It's pouring down rain so I'm trying to keep the kids occupied while staying inside without keeping the television on all day. Owen is sitting beside me at the kitchen table. First he was eating the Play-Doh I got out for him. Now he's talking to some Maisy stickers I gave him and he's quoting Finding Nemo--speaking Whale, like Dory, to be precise.

Em kills me ded.

The person that responded to my craigslist ad hasn't contacted me about picking up said item. I suspect it might have something to do with the fact that it continues to piss rain.

I am also a big fan of the hoodie. Although in my days we just called them sweatshirts (with or without hood).

I use a bunch of different apples in my apple pie, including Granny Smith. I've never made an all Granny-Smith pie though, because I was afraid other people wouldn't like it. For any apple dessert, I'm a big proponent of the tarter, the better.

I am also a big fan of the hoodie. Although in my days we just called them sweatshirts (with or without hood).
We did tend to differentiate, but we called them "hooded sweatshirts" not hoodies.

I bought a cute hoodie (jersey, not sweatshirt, possibly a yoga shirt) at Old Navy, without trying it on. I bought a large, because I generally take a size 12. I almost went for the medium because it was very unstructured and the large looked so big, when I held it up. Since I was buying it specifically to be comfy cozy though, I decided bigger was better, and this certainly looked plenty big. And yeah. It is, except the sleeves won't roll up. They're very fitted. Although I don't have Erika Kane arms, my arms are not disproportionate to the rest of my me, or anything. And there's this seam between the sleeve and the cuff (which isn't really a cuff, it's a loose, floppy thingie but I don't know how else to refer to it), which prevents rolling and/or shoving up the sleeves.

Sleeves on comfy clothes need to be roll or shove uppable.

Duchess apples. My grandmother had just one tree of them in the orchard. We weren't allowed to touch them because they were for pies only. They had Granny Smith, also, but the Duchess made the best pie. Lots of butter, lots of cinnamon and probably more sugar than was good for us. Grandma made a very heavy (soggy) crust, but with her apple pie it was the only way to go.

Happy birthday P-C!

Oooh, billytea! That's wonderful!

I am confused by you people and your hoodie-type things. I mean, I've seen them look super-cute on other people, but goodness, Not For Me.

What is even happening?

Is there a bigger fruit falsehood than that of the Red Delicious apple? I was so disappointed as a little girl, the first time I had one. So beautiful, and so bland.

I'm glad Ida Reds are in season. I'm really waiting for late October for Paula Reds. I also like Cortlands. /apple snob
