Well I get back on the 30th of September, and I'm flying out to the States on the 7th, so I'll be around, hopefully.

We're going to the Netherlands after. The visit to Ireland is to celebrate the 90th birthday of the quasi-grandmother of friends.

Last Wednesday though, my mother bought herself a new car, largely so that she could give us her old car for when school started up. Ben's in a different school from the little ones, now. And although I suppose we could walk, it's a hike, and the way home all uphill. He could take the bus, but it's not cheap, and if he were sick, or whatever, I'd have no way to bring him home other than a mile walk all uphill. Thank goodness for my mum.

Oh, that's great. I'm glad that's working out for you; it's hard to work things out in a place that doesn't have a lot of public transport, or at least non-convenient transport. Says the girl from Tennessee, you know? None to speak of there except of a handful of buses.

SA, the public transportation in Dublin won't be looking as great come late Autumn where all it does is rain and be cold all of the time. That being said, it does get you pretty much everywhere you want to go.

True enough! But if I want to be a true Dubliner, I'm going to have to slog through the rain just like everyone else. besides, it was very similar in Wales, so I expect I can muddle through, if a bit wet around the ears. I'm looking forward to taking the DART this weekend, though; I love trains.

Kildare isn't that far from Co. Dublin! Perhaps we could get together? I'll be free. And I always look for an excuse to get out of the city. E me? Jars, it would be great to see you too if you can swing it!

However, I've recently found out that there's a commuter train that goes well into Kildare -- to Kildare Town, I think. Certainly well past Naas.

Seeing Naas mentioned on this board is very weird.

But yeah, the Dublin train goes as far as Wexford quite a few times a day, I think.

And SA, the Dart! Be sure and get it to Greystones, because the views once you're past Glenageary are fantabulous. Unless you don't like heights.

In mememe news, Got the letter from old landlord. It’s actually worse than I suspected, and I’m not sure I’ll be able to proceed with the next nasty letter from the lawyer. Gonna talk to him today and see what he says. Ugh. It may be time to just walk away.
