In meme news, the crew of men who have been earthquake retrofitting the foundation of the house VERY LOUDLY from 8AM-4PM every work day seem to have damaged the central air. I got home to a hot, stuffy house and grouchy cats.

I need to post my first assignment for my new class and the website isn't working. Do I sit here and swear at it until it lets me in or go to bed and hand in the assignment late tomorrow?

I might've said something about a lemur at that point. But JZ is definitely crushing on The Halloweenie right now. As for example, "Awww, she's kicking right now. And she's got a tuft of hair!"

There should be. Filene's (or the May company or whatever it was) sold it years ago, and to my knowledge, Macy's doesn't own it.

I came back to the living room and had this conversation with JZ:
Me: Did you just burp?
JZ: No. I was just moving my mouth the way she was moving her mouth in the sonogram.

I mean, sure, your standard issue ultrasound image is straight out of Poltergeist, but that's somehow less creepy to me.

Ours was disturbing because parts of the image of her head were missing. The sono-tech had to say, "I assure you that your child's head does not look like an ashtray!" The whole forehead section was like a cutaway into the brain. It was just a gap in the system picking up the sonogram data. (Her head is perfectly intact and normal.) Also, the imaging makes her look animatronic and plastic coated.
