Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yikes! Yellowjackets!
Meh. I got stung the other day. Big red welt, more with the itching than the hurting. Not in the same ballpark as a scorpion sting.
IOcatN, I just saw Sammie get out of one of Harvey's attempts to eat her spicey brains, then make a lunge up toward his neck so she could bite him there. Except that she's an inch or two shorter than him, so she missed. She actually bit him on the side, by his shoulder blade. He just looked at her. After about 7 seconds she realized how silly she looked and just let go. But Yay, Sammie! Bite him back.
Yay Sammie for taking back the bite.
Kittenish has had her appointment and something is definitely off but we don't have results yet. It could be lots of things and so far nothing that we can't correct. So I am glad that I took her in, if still a lot stressed.
She's also staying at the cattery there [link] while I go to San Diego for my sister's baby shower tomorrow through Monday. I know that I feel a lot better about not leaving her home alone (or with Puppycat who isn't a reliable kitty sitter, or a reliable kitty usually) when she's not at her best.
Hopefully we'll have some concrete test results and a plan of attack tomorrow and then when I pick her up, she'll be feeling better.
I'm sort of a wreck and I think I am going to try and take a nap before I deal with any more life today. Then packing and everything. But first some oblivion.
t nuggles the cassie
t rubs her shoulders and neck non-gayly
t tucks her in bed with a hot mug of tea
You get some rest. Trader Joe's Boy will be over in a few hours to wake you up.
I'm glad it doesn't sound too serious for Kittenish, Cass. That cattery looks very well cared for. It's nice not to have to worry about your pets while you're gone.
Cass, I'm glad Kittenish is in good hands. Rest well.
Sail! I sent you email too, but THANK YOU. I'm trying to figure out if I can get away with reading the book at work.
eta: Cass, I'm very glad Kittenish is okay, and that the sitting thing worked out for this weekend.
{{Cass}} I'm glad Kittenish can be taken care of at the cattery while you are gone. It looks like a nice place.
I'll be dropping off at the Canine Connection tomorrow before heading off to Yosemite. It'll be his first time at a kennel since he was a pup, and he hated it then, but I'm afraid to take him to a place that has bears. Especially since he probably wouldn't technically be allowed to stay in the tent-cabin. So I hope this place is pleasant for him.

Good day at school today. Maybe more on that later. But, first. Remind me that I can do nothing until tomorrow morning about the fact that the old landlords sent me a certified letter, and so there's no use worrying about what it contains. It's probably just the security deposit, and she sent it certified mail to make sure I got it.
Chill, Val. Chill.
vw, it will be ok. It's just the deposit check, and either you will be pleasantly surprised by the fact that they did include the appropriate amount of interest, or you have a little more fuel for the fire for your case.

I got a whole pile of dishes done, and the place looks way more presentable than it did this morning. I wonder if I can make myself keep things up instead of letting them slide into squalor.
Does "cattery" sound dirty to anyone else? Like some sort of euphamism?
