Buffy. When I saw you stop the world from, you know, ending, I just assumed that was a big week for you. Turns out I suddenly find myself needing to know the plural of 'apocalypse.'

I think not-good extensions are very, very bad. It would be one of those things where I'd really want to see the work someone had done on a real person -- someone like me who doesn't spend a lot of time on her hair -- to see what they looked like.

I would love to get extensions, my hair doesn't grow beyond brushing my shoulders (trade off being that my leg hair doesn't grow either). But, I doubt I could afford the kind of extensions I want, the kind that make you wonder/think the hair is real.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

vibes to kittenish.

We are trying to be grown ups with Money. which will be good. because only car and house debt will exsist - and it will make things so much easier in the future. but oh how I hate to look at the big numbers with both eyes open

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I hope any problems Kittenish might have are minor, and easily (and cheaply) fixed.

Yikes! Yellowjackets!

Sometime I might get an extension so that I can have one bright, cobalt blue streak in my hair. (Or possibly near-neon green.) Very few people who see me day to day would be expecting this.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

{{Cass and Kittenish}}

Glad to hear that today was a nothing-to-worry-about exam, ChiKat!

I've had an urge to get myself a bright purple streak in my hair for a couple of weeks. If it lasts a couple more weeks it might actually happen.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Yikes! Yellowjackets!

Meh. I got stung the other day. Big red welt, more with the itching than the hurting. Not in the same ballpark as a scorpion sting.

IOcatN, I just saw Sammie get out of one of Harvey's attempts to eat her spicey brains, then make a lunge up toward his neck so she could bite him there. Except that she's an inch or two shorter than him, so she missed. She actually bit him on the side, by his shoulder blade. He just looked at her. After about 7 seconds she realized how silly she looked and just let go. But Yay, Sammie! Bite him back.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Yay Sammie for taking back the bite.

Kittenish has had her appointment and something is definitely off but we don't have results yet. It could be lots of things and so far nothing that we can't correct. So I am glad that I took her in, if still a lot stressed.

She's also staying at the cattery there [link] while I go to San Diego for my sister's baby shower tomorrow through Monday. I know that I feel a lot better about not leaving her home alone (or with Puppycat who isn't a reliable kitty sitter, or a reliable kitty usually) when she's not at her best.

Hopefully we'll have some concrete test results and a plan of attack tomorrow and then when I pick her up, she'll be feeling better.

I'm sort of a wreck and I think I am going to try and take a nap before I deal with any more life today. Then packing and everything. But first some oblivion.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

t nuggles the cassie

t rubs her shoulders and neck non-gayly

t tucks her in bed with a hot mug of tea

You get some rest. Trader Joe's Boy will be over in a few hours to wake you up.

I'm glad it doesn't sound too serious for Kittenish, Cass. That cattery looks very well cared for. It's nice not to have to worry about your pets while you're gone.

What is even happening?

Cass, I'm glad Kittenish is in good hands. Rest well.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Sail! I sent you email too, but THANK YOU. I'm trying to figure out if I can get away with reading the book at work.

eta: Cass, I'm very glad Kittenish is okay, and that the sitting thing worked out for this weekend.
